A very good way to defeat an oppent such a in Gears of War is to control your oppent the whole time. Simple example: throw a gernade behind them and attack from the front. An advanced verison would be fire once as if ur going to run at them then roll to their side. In most cases rolling to their side after a trick is a 80% advantage if done with good angling. Another good tip is when ur playing a shooter game in some cases if ur oppent keeps charing u and u have a hard time hitting them aim more towards the ground so the bullets fall on them.
