In our last character battle we had a Demolition Droid up against Red Cap. In the end, the Demolition Droid beat down Red Cap by a significant number of votes!

Back from break, time for another Character Battle! A Demolition Droid from Proelium 2 has been thrown into a battle field with Red Cap! Demolition Droids are made for, well, demolishing; but Red Cap is a lot stronger than she looks! Will the futuristic power of the Demolition Droid be able to take down Red Cap, or will Red Cap pull through and show what a skilled woman can really do? You decide! Last Character Battle had Feval up against a Thief from Thieves. The battle was very close in the end! Feval came out on top by a small margin.

Last week's battle was a Skywurm from SkyWurm against a Bolo from Lode Wars. There was plenty of debate with the random prize giveaway, and it was great to see! It ended up being the Bolo that won the fight.

So, we made it to division two. Personally, I feel that the past fights went pretty well and were fair wins. Regardless, there's been some confusion as to the fight of "battle field" in which these fights take place in. To pick one battle field over another could lead to a substantial advantage for one character over the other. Due to this, I feel I need to address the issue. I won't give you a solid battle field description. Instead, I will tell you, if you wish to best judge the better fighter, to simulate many different environments in your mind. Figure out who you think would have the greater average of victories in many different situations. That, is my suggestion; it is, however, nothing more than that. The vote is for you to decide, I'm only trying to elaborate on some more technical concepts of the competition that most people really don't care about at all.

Last battle we had The Killer/Psycho from Scarey Game 2 against The Entity from Night Fantastic. Two killers against each other, and it was The Entity that won the battle!

Hello, GameMaster85 aka. Miles Edgeworth here. Obviously I am here to review this game, as I haven't seen a review of this game for good while. This is my first review, so we'll see how this goes.

Now, most reviews vote 9 or 10s if they see a good game. I work on the Perfect-to-None Scale. If its a pristine-clean at perfection game, then expect 10s. Other then that, Typical good games will get a little lower, so don't complain how non-perfect this game is.

Gameplay: 9

The Gameplay is what it was meant to be. A Zombie Horde is coming at you, and you got guns and barricades. What do you do? Basically, you step into a safe room where you got around 1 or 3 minutes to set up your guns and everything. You start with a bit of cash to upgrade a nice gun, so your not in the back. Once the game starts, the suspense awaits as the players scatter to the front to wait for the zombies. After all, Kills really do mean a lot in this game. So once the music gets real intense, and you hear the moaning of the zombies, things get intense. Waves and waves of zombies come at you as the easy-to-use F key makes you aim at the zombies and shoot them at the same time. You can use your mouse for more accurate, and even deadly, shots. At one point of the game, a boss comes out, which has much, much more health, and you must work with your team to defeat it and survive.

The style is great, the interface and controls are smooth and simple to use, but the only reason this doesn't get a 10 is because the game uses too many keys and depends on a help file, and even I get lost in a bit of them. But this earns a 9, trust me.

Presentation: 7

The Presentation is quite... crappy if you don't mind my language. The first time I step into a game, Its just a picture and some typical music really. Once you get in the game, its a different story, but some icons are extremely common and are used widespread among the byond developers. A help file also helps you how to play the game. All In all, the game talks for itself, but the game just looks a little like a typical un-professional byond game.

Although, the game itself definitely makes up most of that. I mean, Wouldn't a zombie survival game get more Presentation the better the game play looks?

Originality: 7.5

The game is original. It's system is also original. Theres not many other games that use this system as well. This isn't perfect though because Round Based Survival isn't such a new concept to our players.

I would have to mark this down to a 7.5, because I think a 9 is a little tad too much for a...

Overall: 7.75

The game is good, and its a must play for a fan of byond action. Its nothing like a good Reanimated Corpse-cheese to light up while actually having a cause, which is living. This game mostly speaks for itself, and there is hardly any glitches or bugs of sort.

Great Game to play, basically. Definitely a try if you are a die-hard zombie action shooter fan.

In the last battle we had a Demolition Droid from Proelium II versus a Paradise City Gunman from Paradise City. Quite a fierce match-up, as both are ready and built to kill. In the end, it was the Demolition Droid that came out on top!

Ninja Team!

Hello, BYOND Action! I'm here to tell you about my newest game and let you know what's in store for it!

Ninja Team is a game based as much on strategy and tact as it is on action. Players take control of one of four members of an elite ninja team in order to reach the bottom of a dungeon to recover a scroll for their master. Each member of the team has unique traits necessary to complete the mission.

Red is the teams leader. He takes care of his team and is the one they rely on to get through doors.
Skills:
Heal Team-mates
Auto recovery (30 seconds after being KO'd)
Pull Levers

Blue is the teams scout and a master of stealth. He excels at slithering past guards and enemies and is capable of quick and discrete assassinations.
Skills:
Disguise (Steal a KO'd enemies appearance)
Hide in barrels

Gray is the gentle one of the team, but at the same time the strongest one of the bunch. He doesn't kill, only KO's his enemies, and is able to take on the strongest opponents head-on.
Skills:
Block Enemy (Gray can block enemies from the front)
KO (Gray can KO enemies, so Blue can take the disguise)

Green is the master of traps. He is able to detect and disarm all manner of trap the team encounters.
Skills:
Detect Trap
Disarm Trap

Now that we've met the team, I'll let you in on a few details for the project thus far.

Ninja Team was created originally as my Game in a Day submission. Since then I've fixed bugs and done internal optimization on the source in order to prepare it as a solid base from which to build up from. Currently in the game is the original 5 level dungeon which was submitted for my GiaD. In the future there will be two game modes: Story, and Arcade. Story mode will be a series of levels with an accompanying story arc in order to introduce the player to the team, and their abilities as well as set the tone for the game itself. Arcade mode would feature an endless dungeon in which the goal is to get as far as you can: Great for playing with friends!

The game is done in a classic 8-bit style, and features original sound effects and music created by Eksadus All of the graphics and programming for the game were done by me for the GiaD contest. It's available for download on its hub and you can play by yourself or on a server with up to 4 players.

So, without further adieu, I bid you to check out Ninja Team. You wont be disappointed!

Last Character Battle, we had a Yellow Block from WarBlox against a Thief from Thieves. The battle was fierce as always, but the Thief came out on top of the Yellow Block in the end.
