As for the prizes, since we took so long to judge your entries, the prize values have all be increased by 20%. Because Jeff8500 was also the highest scoring Action game, he also won the Best Action Game award (600 Points).

Oh, and just because the contest is over doesn't mean that you shouldn't work on your entries anymore.

I judged by both. If the graphics fit context and had a consistent style, I would give up to two points. If they had all of that and looked good, I handed out more points.

Aw, third place doesn't win anything. Oh well, it was better than I expected - Navy wasn't at all finished (shown by stuff like the slow-ish gameplay and the lack of a decent name, mapping and other features I'd hoped to put in). And I completely forgot about sound.

Woo! The controls problem was mostly a byproduct of this being my first pixel based game on BYOND; I didn't know it was a problem until after I submitted it. As is the weird (but working - you can't really tell it's not your standard bounding boxes) collision detection (I still don't even understand it).
If I did expand it in the future, I would probably redo a little of it. I really like your water paths idea, though!
EDIT: Gotta love SFXR, by the way. It took only about 5 minutes to get those sounds and add them in the game!
EDIT2: Now to wait for the GIAD and BYOBG contests to end!
