My BYOND version is out of date

I receive an error message when I download the latest version of BYOND off the website and try to play a game: "Dream Seeker is too far out of date. (Get the latest and greatest at byond.com.)". What can I do to solve this problem?

Generally when you see this error message, it's always good to go to the download page and re-download the latest version of BYOND, just in case there was an update you were unaware of. However, if you do this and you still receive out of date messages. It means the world was compiled in a newer beta version.

Beta versions aren't yet placed on the download page because of their inherent instability with trying untested features. If you receive this message with the latest version from the download page, it means the the creator of the game has updated to a beta version. In order for you to play this game, it means you'll have to do the same thing.

Open beta versions are typically announced in the the Devloper Announcements Forum. Closed betas are... closed, so you'll just have to wait if someone is hosting in such a version.

Ok. I play Dragon ball Finale and it says that my dreamseeker is out of date. So I click on the link to download it. I start to install it but I get an error message that says the file cannot be downloaded. I click ignore and the same thing happens for a differnet file. What now?

Yeah, I went to go play a game a couple weeks back, and it kept telling me that it was out of date. It took me a couple hours of frustration before I checked the announcement forum out and realized that there were BETA versions being released all the. I hope that this post helps keep some people from being like me and screaming at the monitor. good job by the way :)
