BYONDster!
If you were on the developer forums about three hundred thousand posts ago, you would know that there was started a DMCGI application to replace the Classified Ads forum. It did make it to a finished product, but because of lack of knowledge with savefile locking and resulting overwrites and lack of a host, it quickly died.
Now, three years later, BYONDster has been completely redone, utilizing MySQL instead of savefiles and a DMCGI host. BYONDster provides the means to post listings for positions on a team or game, or for applicants who are looking for work. MySQL allows for easy indexing and searching for a simple to use system. All listings must be approved before being show publicly, although they will appear in searches at the user's choice.
BYONDster is currently in a closed-testing alpha stage, but is soon ready for a public beta.
Here's a screenshot of the search for job openings. Users also have their own console, seen here. Users can receive messages from administrators, and future plans may include the ability for BYOND members to use BYONDster messaging as a method of contact. All listings are shown in the control panel and can be deleted there. The panel is also where new listings are submitted.
As said above, there's not much left to do. This blog will serve to provide the userbase with updates and a method to contact the creators and administrators.
At its current state, BYONDster does need a little help from (interested? comment!):
General moderators
Web app / form / sql security
Web developer(s)
Private testers
Look forward to more updates!

I remember when you tried this a few years ago and when I was an moderator. It worked relatively well for that week and a half. Good luck!

Absolutely! Posts are sorted by genre (Action, Anime, Casual, RPG, Strategy, Other) and field (Programmer, Pixel Artist, Map Designer, Host), and can be searched upon that.
