My first library, and this time its actually good ^^. I just made a projectile library to handle area/homing/straight attacks without defining stuff in the verb or obj. Also straight attacks can work with trail attacks if you add it to the obj/Move(). It works very well and simple so it can save time and have extra features in code than using walk() commands. And theres is a lil demo part just to test it out!

Though I would say Cloverfield is the most intense craziest movie ever, Across The Universe has to be hands down the BEST movie ever. They did an excelent job at re-doing the beatles songs, but its hard to re-do perfection. I think there best song, and one of the Beatles is Hey Jude(Link below). They did a crazy good job with this, tying it to the story perfectly and they got the founder from stomp in it too hitting garbage cans to the beat. And the vocals are near perfect, and Max sings it with his face expressions he's like almost saying it, giving it an emotional/inspirational feeling to it. Also visually great during some of my favorite songs including; I Am The Walrus, Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds... It covers most all Beatles best hits and re-does some perfectly into the story such as; Hey Jude, Revolution, I've Just Seen A Face, All My Loving... Though there were songs that were a disappointment including; Let It Be... But overall it was a great movie and had very great actors singing some great songs; Joe Crocker: Come Together, Eddie Izzard: Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite... And the main characters in the movies all had secret roles, and were supposed to look/act like people from the 60's/70's, Jude=Paul McCartny, JoJo=Jimi Hendrix, U2's Main Singer=Ringo Star, Prudince=Yoko Ono... I seriously suggest buying this DVD and the CD for it, I already have, or check it out on youtube. And well as I promised here is the most a famed and greatly made song.

I fixed the dithering, it didnt work perfectly, but now it does. And makes the image look excelent, WAY better than any graphics programs 1-bit converter, and it converts every frame, and dir, and size, back into .dmi format. making this the ultimate 1-bit game making utility.

Here is an example of an icon I put through the program, then through ms paint, pixia, and gale(All same results), hand drew it best as possible, and shows the real icon.

The first icon face is the one I put through my 1-Bit image converter

Second is the regular icon(That I drew for the pixel art challenges and collabriation).

Third is my best possible hand drawn 1-bit version of the icon

Fourth is the same result from 3 different graphics programs(MS paint, Gale, and Pixia).

That has to be proof, that this program works. And if you think those were editted, run the icon in the program yourself. I used the default shade level for it(You can pick the shade level at start). default is perfectly balanced, so black is 1/3, dithering is 1/3, and white is 1/3.

So I really hope this game helps you guys out, if not its fun just to screw around with it, or plug in your best of best pixel art, and see what they would look like in a 1-bit format.

Well It isnt exactly pixel art, and its kinda cheating, but me and MasterDan made a image converter, where you put and type of image(s) of any size(s), and run the game and use the convert command, and it instantly starts changing them into 1-bit black and white only pixel art. You can change how light/dark you want the end result to be by changing an input command(100 is default lower = lighter, higher = darker).

It is very nifty for any game creators who are going to make a 1-bit game, since it can convert any number of icons at a time, and even gfx's.

Also for anyone who wants to cheat for a pixel contest can slip a few good icons into there and let it do the work(Shh, we wont tell maggeh, or monkeydidit, it'll be our secret).

I was inspired to start working on this when someone posted a 1-bit image, and people started talking about a 1-bit challenge&Collaboration.

Here is a sample i've got from it so far.

Here is what dan has gotten(It is a png that is converted).

Yeah, I made this icon primarily, to show my vehicle artist on how bad his icon looked, to how good it could be. I first started with line art that made a 128x64 vehicle, then added one main color, to it(Blue), and a lil' anti alias. Then for the trunk I noised it out with black and dark gray, and darkened the edges. Then thought it looked to plain big like that, so shrunk it to 64x32. Then it looked pretty choppy, so I rounded it out, fixed the line art, redefined the shading, added some stuff to the trunk(since it was too plain), and rounded the hood. Here is what it looked like when I first sized it down.

And here is what it looks like now

And since it turned out so good, i'm gonna use it in my game, and wanted some C&C from you guys, to make it look even better.
AVS(A Vampire's Solstice), is being hosted, and in testing mode(So dont complain). Everyone who has played loved it, instantly when you start you are jumped into intense gameplay, and are forced to run and kill vampires to stay alive(Since vampires know how to get into the starting house). I have updated, and fixed almost all known bugs, and added some useful things, like new weapons, help verb, and so on.

On the very good side, I havnt had to use any admin powas and smight noobs, so I really dont think there will be a need for gms. But what I really need, is for people to post ideas in the forums, or even right here in htis topic about the game. Please watch the movie, or read the book before making any drmastic ideas. But any ideras would be appreciated for the game, just go to hub play, then go to forums, register, and post >.> .

Yes another one! Well anyways this is a HUGE!$!$!! update. Lets first start it off with what we've(99% i've) added.
Guns:(Zomg Html code!)
Double Barrel Shotgun, this was the original gun on AVS. It has 2 rounds in the barrel, shoots slow, and has to reload often, but you can hit more than one target at a time, and it does more damage than other guns.

Colt 45, the second newest, it has 12 rounds in its barrel, and shoots the fastest(So far). It does the least damage, and only can shoot one target at a time, but is very good when running away/at 1 vampire.

Magnum .357, the newest, has 6 rounds in its barrel, and packs a big punch, almost does as much as the double barrel shotgun, but has the worst recoil time.

Turfs!:
Roads, yes I added sick arse roads(Only using 3 colors!), so you know what that means for the future...(YES CARS!!!).

Houses Added a bunch of wooden houses to the game, that look like the houses in the movie. They provide support, though vampires can open doors.

Factory, I added the huge metal factory in the movie for the game as the ultimate hideout, with two sets of doors to hide from vampires, and double cased walls. It is also stocked with some good weapons, survivors, and flashlights/lamps. It is also home to something I will tell you about later... The generator!

Mapzors:
I made the map as close looking to the real map of Barrow Alaska as possible(Using Google Maps). Though in the game we call the town Borrow Stone.

Effects/Light Sources/Obj's
Lighting fixed, with a lil help of ShadowDarke's dynamic lighting library, I added insane lighting details, with obj's such as lamps, flashlights, and outside world to help you see/not see. I added the spill light from doors and windows, and made snow only happen outside(instead of covering the world).

Flashlight, The original and only light source at first, a little flashlight that you cuoldnt pick up, just on the ground that would flicker, is still here! Im going to make it able to be picked up soon, just fixing some bugs with it.

Lamp, The new light source, can be used for picking up, which greatly increases your range of light, or put it on the ground say near a door, to check if anythings outside.

Street Lamps/Generators, The coolest thing i've added. Real working streetlights that are connected to generators. The generator has a electricity life, which it gives to all the street lamps in the map. It slowly runs out of power, which makes the lights on all the street lamps soon dim and go away, or can manually be shut off by a switch on it, or destroyed by vampires. The lights at first give off a huge amount of light, and before they have no light, barely any at all. I am making batteries to recharge the generator(For players). and this will be one of your most important life lines in the game, LIGHT!

Here is a screenshot of the lamp(which has dimmed from full light), all the guns, the lamp, the factory, and the generator.
Okay I have a bunch of news for this time, and I have to leave for school in like 20 minutes so im gonna type this as fast as I can.
First off, I completed making a shooting system. It uses an auto aim feature, and has real ammo for each gun. The only gun I have added so far, is a double barrel shotgun, so two rounds max in the barrel, then you can have more in your invetory. When you shoot it lights up around your screen, and hits anything within 10 tiles. And since its a shotgun it can hit more than one target at a time. I also added a bunch of blood stuff for the game like blood when you get shot, then blood pools from the blood landing on the floor. Here is a screenie of the gun overlay, and gun on the ground, and ammo on the ground(And starting base).

Now, where the real fun begins. Dark Emerald made an AI system for me, which we used and tweaked it out a bit, but works and looks awesome. What the vampires do is, if they are far from you, they will either leap next o you, or run and slash you with there claws, if there next to you, they'll jump ontop of you, and bite you. They are very strong and fast, and blood will be splattering everywhere when you fight one. So I would suggest running and shooting and pray to god you dont run out of ammo. Here is a screenie of me shooting a vampire right after it had slashed me up with its claws.
