A bit annoying as well. I wish I could play my Portal 2 or Mortal Kombat online. Though, this whole PSN outage facade has been interesting to read up on. I'm enjoying the different articles and never realized how much IGN trolls people. They took their site down to mock the PlayStation Network. All in all, it's a good laugh. I'm just hoping my credit card info is safe, and PSN return soon. This is day number 5 without access to online gaming, MLB.tv, and downloading the rest of my half finished games. *sigh*
They were hacked, wow. This sure wouldn't of happened on Xbox. Hint-Hint!
I'm sure you cards will be fine mate. Sucks overall for any ps3 owner.

PSN is down because they are upgrading their Security because of the hackers so called "Anonymous". They are the hackers that DoS'd Twitter/PayPal/WikiLeaks.(There are news about them on TV too!)

That's what I heard btw. So sorry if I'm incorrect.

Do you recall around the time Halo 3 launched... Xbox Live was down for 13 days. It has happened to them.

No. Anonymous had nothing to do with it. Someone breached through with custom firmware allowing them to download PSN games for free. Sony noticed this, and shut down everything to rebuild.

40 Arrest warrants for them because of the Sony PSN incident.
Mortal Kombat is far too much blood than I am equipped to handle

Here's a short explanatian of the situation.
Calling people firing their LOIC hackers is like calling rippers professional game developers.

Shit just got real.

"...we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility."
I like how all the comments on that Sony blog post are like, "Oh, its coming back up!" without realizing the magnitude of what really happened.
Think thats bad. The United States Senate made a response letter to Sony.

I just love reading some of the reactions. People need to learn what the outdoors are or something. Get a new hobby. I'm not thrilled that it's been down for this long, but hey, I found something else to do.

p.s. Didn't mean you in that. :P
Outside is overrated. It's allergy season anyway, so fuck that noise.
Most people still don't comprehend how bad this is. Don't expect the PSN to come up for a long time, and expect Sony to get smacked in the face with a massive class-action lawsuit.
Branks, could you do me a icon favor ? I have this base icon, I got from a sprite sheet. The problem is, it only has the south direction for punching, and I need North, West, and East.
No edits.
Hmm, what do you mean ? I'm confused, would you like to see the sprite sheet ?
