Dev & Asura's Wrath. in Off Topic

I just want to make it official that I am through with teaming up with random people on here. Wasting art is already old for me. Moving on.. I am giving this new project I'm working on a shot. If it doesn't work out, then I'm done here. I've got way too much art sitting around to just keep adding to that collection. I'm thinking about posting everything I've created, art-wise. Then again, I should post it where people will actually use it and not copy/paste into their stupid little rips. Projects that are dead with tons of art are:

* Suukou Faita (Action RPG)
* Jail Em! (Strategy/Action)
* Trap Em! (Strategy/Action)
* Dragon Ball RPG (Turn Based)
* Dragon Ball Online Adventures (Action RPG)
* Dragon Ball Into the Future (Real Time RPG)
* Global Championship Wrestling 2 (RPG Simulator)
* Spirit Revelations (Action RPG)
* Street Life (Action RPG)

Each game contains weeks, if not months of pixel art. That is a LOT of wasted time. I am willing to let go of some of these without hesitation. Just know that you will NOT receive any programming due to most of these projects not being programmed by myself. You know how to contact me about that stuff.

Moving on... I am currently playing Asura's Wrath on PS3, and the combat/cut scenes are amazing! I don't know if this is based off an anime or manga, but it sure the heck looks like it. I highly recommend this.

Hmm, i understand your decision, working with people on byond is hard work, you found a good partner in Lige previously, but now he's leaving and your likely to follow if things don't go well, I have come to terms that it's hard to rely on others to fill in the skills that you're missing, Which is why im trying to make my game (nearly on my own), but what the hell... i am still relying on people to help me with programming lol, but i ask and scrounge for help where i can and it seems to be going fine.

I would like to talk to you about some of your games for art purposes to look at and try to mimic and play with your style.
and also for my bleach game which is in dire need of some more professional pixel art, since it has some good pixel art which i cannot match yet.

I wouldn't mind continuing Trap Em! and Suukou Faita for you and Lige. I just lost my job so I have a hell of a lot more time towards game development now.

Whatever the case. It's the same cycle time and time again. Nobody is reliable. This message also has nothing to do with Lige. We both agree on the same cycle. The biggest issue is motivation. I really hate people who get hyped to talk about a project and once it's go time to work on it... They fall off the map or just don't do shit. Can't trust anyone. Sad indeed. At this point I am a bit too old for wasting time. Why the hell can't i just be an artist.. and let that be that? It's really fucking irritating. Not a fan of reruns unless it's a good show. This isn't. With that said.. Fuck game development.. at least on this site. I've had my eyes set on Unity for a long time. That and Unreal Engine 3. You know... the good stuff.

Tbh. I agree with you. Even though I quit on a lot of my projects. The reason being is my iconners either don't work but they say they are or they just disappear and show up weeks months later. Some times even my co-coder. Its irritating and pisses me off it causes me to quit my projects.

Many people don't have the time to devote to undertaking such projects in small amounts of time. My advice is don't be disillusioned and keep working at your craft. If nothing, at least you'll keep on getting better and that in itself is an achievement. Personally I wouldn't mind helping out with any of your projects but school is starting again soon and as of such I may 'fall off the map' ;p

As for moving onto other things like Unity, keep in mind that the principles of game development aren't going to change. Perhaps the communities will have more people willing to help but unless you've got a good rigid drive, it will be no different for you there than it is here. As OneFishDown once said, the power isn't in the software, it's in the hands of the developer using the software.
