Got a few things working, AI, multiple turret types, that weird trig thing I was working with, it's all good now. =)

Trying to test out particle effects, I don't think the flamethrower counts but I'm trying my best to work out something nice for you guys.

Also, on the subject of the flamethrower, how does it look? I know it's not great but I'm kind of winging most of the art in the game (obviously). Do you like the way it projects? The firing distance, spread/speed randomization? Tell me what you guys think about it.

As for the machine guns, I'm not sure if I should include them as a permanent secondary and have them fire through the turret at all time or if it should be an attachable module that basically sits on the side of the turret. The former is easy since it requires next to no extra work, but the latter allows for different modules. (mines, rockets, etc.)

Also, left click now fires the main cannon, right click fires the machine gun and middle click will be enabled for a "special" module. The special module is a bit like Halo Reach, it boosts your abilities or as a special effect, but only for a short time and it has a cooldown. It's still in the "idea" phase so if it sounds like a bad idea then I won't go on with it.

Anyways, let me know what you guys think of it so far.

Also, yes, I did fuck up and move around without a turret for a moment at 0:12
Everything looks great so far!

I expected the flamethrower to have a shorter range and smaller projectiles. Not that it's wrong this way, it was just a surprise. I think the way the flames move is fine, though I'd probably try something different.

If I was making a fire effect I'd probably have the flames initially move at the same speed in the same direction (or very close to it). As they move away from your tank they'd slow down a little and accelerate to the left or right (the direction and magnitude of their acceleration would be randomly picked when the flame is created). This way the fire shoots out in a straight line but still fans out in the end.

Maybe it's just because the flamethrower's projectiles have a limited range and would have disappeared anyway, but it looks like they disappear when they hit the enemy. It looks weird, but I doubt these are all the final icons and it'd be solved by making the icon animated so the flames get smaller and fade out instead of disappearing suddenly.
All those tanks remind me of Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike! for the Sega Genesis.
Good times.. (:
The projectiles and effects looks great. I really liked the dual cannons. The flame thrower might work out fine if you are distracted by all the burning soldiers running around screaming. ;)
