How do you get a moving object on the skin?

EG:

Either, an icon which has various states (But is static on the skin)

or

an icon which moves from left to right / up and down across the skin...

I know how to get a single icon in a grid... but i dont want that because i cant change it at runtime...

anyone know how?

Is there any way to make an overlay not disappear when it reaches the edge of the map? without changing the map size, for example a 2 tile mob, simply a mob with a pixel_y+32 overlay, when u enter the top of the map the overlay disappears... can this be stopped?

Hi, How do i use a grid in the skin interface as a stat panel? Obviously you need to use it as text, but ive tried loads of different settings and i cant get text to display on the grid. Can anyone help me please?

Edit: If grids wont work when that else could i use for a stat panel (other than Info) because as you can only use 1 info panel, i wanted to be able to see the stats panel and see the verbs at th e same time. but i cannot display the text anywhere.
