I have been working on Voxles since the last blog post. A lot of changes have been made and I still have a bit more work to do. Version 2.0 of Voxles will be available to download on Friday, April 15. Updates include

- A better interface
- A modified, more balanced skill chart
- Medals ( a lot of players have already gotten some )
- A more convenient way to see skills
- Server customization tool for hosts
- A Voxles gameplay manual
- Various bug fixes and minor gameplay improvements

and some updates that might be able to get in, but I can't guarantee:
- Music
- Sound effects

After 2.0 I will begin working on 10 new Voxles to add and a video to help demonstrate what Voxles really is. Someone also mentioned custom Voxles and I will see what I can do about that. I will also frequently update the skill chart when needed. The skills were made in one day so there were bound to be balance issues. Make sure you download the new chart posted on the hub page if you haven't already.

If you're a fan of role-playing, board-games, or tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons or Warhammer 40k, I urge you to try out Voxles. A few players said the game sucked because it wasn't automated, but after they began to play and gave the game a chance, they started to enjoy themselves. I'm sure you will too!
It looks really cool, but there's nobody playing. Could you add some AI?

AI would be very complicated and tiring. Its not something I would want to attempt by myself. Especially if the AI is going to be smart and not just make random, useless moves that pose no challenge to the player. There are currently 20 different skills - I would have to make the AI check out of his list of 6 Voxles for any usable skills after rolling, then which skill should be used depending on the situation ( a reliable or more risky attack ), then which Voxle is the best target out of the opponent's 6 Voxles or, if a defensive skill, which target is best on its own team. Not to mention I would most likely have to make the entire game automated in order to play against a computer because the AI wont respond to you typing "My Destroyer kills your Cowboy".

After 2.0, I will be hosting it myself a lot more, and the only reason nobody is playing it is because only a few people are logging in to try it, which is good because the game isn't ready to be promoted yet. It would be bad for tons of people to start pouring in while the game is still undergoing a lot of changes.
Without AI its unlikely that I'll ever play the game. Bad AI would be better than nothing.

That's ridiculous. In what ways is battling a computer opponent more fun than a human opponent?
It's not a matter of fun, its a matter of convenience. If I have to play against another person I have to wait until people are playing and join the game (and even then, is have to wait for their game to end and hope they want to play again). If the game had AI I could download it and try it whenever I want.

Once I finish the game and get it "out there", this will be a non-issue.
