After two weeks of pure procrastination, I'm finally ready to start work on the new project. If you're someone who was looking for some work, read on.

I wouldn't mind starting a team, and because I do just about everything, you would have a light workload. For pixel artists, you'd basically be drawing 20x20 sprites many of which do not even need to be animated. I've also already drawn a base so a lot of it would just be editing the same outline over and over. Programmers, you would be responsible for anything I can't do and that isnt a lot.

The work isn't paid as I have no money, but any profit earned from the finished product would be split among the team fairly. I can pretty much do the project myself but I thought I would let people help out. If you're interested, page me and I'll give you more details.

One more thing: I didn't get a lot of suggestions last post, so I'll ask the question again. The game is going to be a sandbox game where you have access to tons of mobs and objects that you can use to either just play around with or design your own dungeon/quest map, save it, and host it and run through it with friends. I would like to know what types of mobs or objects would you like to see in the game? Currently all I have as far as ideas is things I'm taking from Gnomeheim. I'm looking for suggestions like:

"I would like a trap floor object that opens and shuts every 5 seconds, killing any player that is standing on top of it when it opens."

or

"I would like a squid monster that shoots exploding ink bombs."

Any suggestion ( as long as it isn't too off the wall ) will be jotted down and eventually added to the game.

Thanks

Keep them coming. Nice idea BTW. I've always been a fan of the Mimic monster from Dragon Quest and this will be a nice way to implement a monster similar to it.
so, i guess this is where the replacement of minecraft continues in BYOND ^^

Well, i dont have mutch to sugges, but i guess random fishes and swans would give it someting to have.

Also, dungeons and locations should be added. they arent just fun to explore, but could contain great items after succed the whole area.

It's a game where the players create everything. Dungeons don't already come premade. You start off in a map full of grass, then you open a tab full of mobs and objects to play around with.

If you really want to get creative, you turn AI off ( so that you can build monsters in peace ) and build a dungeon or any type of scenario you want, save it, and then upload it so people can play it or host it yourself. This is more of a 2D Garry's Mod than it is Minecraft.
damn, of course XD
Genious. dont think i understood ur post there ;)
