Okay, this is extremely annoying. I have Norton Anti-Virus. When I try to enter my Counter-strike games on Steam it doesn't allow me to and I get two Norton alert pop-ups. The first pop-up alert says:
Norton AntiVirus has detected a virus on your computer.
Object Name: C:/DOCUME~1/Michael/LO.../~36.tmp
Virus Name: Trojan Horse
Action Taken: Unable to repair this file.
Action Taken: Access to the file was denied.
The second pop-up alert says the same exact thing, except the file is:
Object Name: C:/DOCUME~1/Michael/LO.../~37.tmp
First of all, I cannot find this file anywhere. Second of all, I have no idea how this relates to the Counter-strike games on Steam. Thrid of all, I have no idea how I got these. I take care of this computer so much and I somehow got two damn viruses. I do not download anything on this computer. I only use it for games I have CDs for so I know it will be safe. I hardly even visit websites on this thing.
I am not suprised that the viruses have not been fixed, I mean, they never get fixed. I am paying a lot of money to have this virus protector up and it does not seem to be doing it's job. Well, it is...except for fixing and repairing the damn file. I quarantied it and they were gone and didn't show up in the Full System Scan. Then I clicked on the Counter-strike game again because I thought I got rid of the viruses but the alerts popped up again. I re-installed all of Steam and the games, and the same crap is happening. Any idea on how I can fix this? I mean, I am paying for this product and I cannot seem to play Counter-strike because this damn virus protecter can't fix the virus.
I am so frustrated.
