Fast Paced Action for Everyone

All right, I'm fifteen years old. I've been playing this game (Not BYOND) since I was in... Hmm... Third grade, I believe. Eight years old or something. It was first introduced to me by my friend Kevin (lilcloudy1/cloudy1) when we lived in the same apartment. I've been around BYOND almost as long, for the record. Kevin made his key in 2001 and I didn't make mine until later. But that's not what this post is about.

This game I'm talking about is called SubSpace Continuum, or Continuum, or SubSpace. Some of the older people on BYOND might actually remember the game. It used to be sold in stores (Not by the same title. It might have been called Sniper or something, if I recall.). It was so popular because it was one of the first online games to support 28.8 kbs internet connections. The original creation team was Virgin Entertainment or something.

Anyways, the game has died down a lot, particularly the zone I play in. The player list is reading SIX players, that's like a record in a long time, and I know at least three of them are bots. (The game isn't totally dead, I just loaded the zone list and added the players up and it says there's 1067 players logged in.) If you don't like the zone I suggest and where I intend to hang out at soon after posting this, that's fine, you can give some of the other zones a try. They all have different settings, everything from Trench Wars' 1-hit kill setting to Star Wars remakes to an RPG-type called Mystic Kingdom. It really is a fun game and a good testament against the trend that all good things are high graphic and 10,000,000 lines of code. Yeah, I'm talking to you, you WoW freaks :/

For all of you that are all hung-up on decking out your software clients like you might a car (weirdos), there are customizable skins for your client and you can even change the display of the in-game graphics for your own client. There's a website that, if enough people come play, I'll post here later. It has all kinds of downloads for stuff like that. The best thing is that, unlike BYOND 4.00, you don't need to mess with your client to get it to FUNCTION.

You can download the game here --> http://subspace.legendzones.com/downloads.php

When you finish installing it, you open it and you'll get the list of zones that are already added, and some buttons. First you'll want to click "Profile" and set up your name and password and all that good stuff. Once you've finished that you can scan over the list of zones and right click them for a brief description and some technical information. The one you're looking for if you want to play against me is "SSCU Super Ships". If it's not there, then you want to go up to "Zones", and near the bottom left there's a button that says "Download". Click it. You'll retrieve a list of other zones. Find SSCU Super Ships, click it, then click "Add Zone(s)". Click OK. Now click SSCU Super Ships on your zone list, click play, and you're in!

It's pretty obvious which one is me.

Another Woman Wanna-be

I should just start making a big list on my blog for these people. Okay, I think there's a generally accepted manner that all women act in. I, personally, do not now any girls around my age that act like men. Things like "OWNT" and "YOU FAG" are not something I expect them to say. Unless they're tom-boys, and I don't know any of them.

I am an avid Dragonball Finale player. I've been playing for quiet some time, then I quit for awhile and started playing again. There is this "girl" named Myu Miharu that my friend was "deeply in love with" and anyone that said "she" was a guy usually got banned. When she started up her own DBF server and the one I was playing p-wiped, I moved over there. I got admin over on her server and everything and I'd been playing there awhile. One of the players in the server had obviously been admin edited, and he was getting really mouthy with just about everyone in the game, so I booted him.

Two seconds later, one of the other admins boots me. I come back in and see him spamming, and I ban him, and two seconds later am banned by the alternate of the guy I booted the first time. He tells me to contact Myu, which I try to do, but apperently she's not here. I go to bed, wake up the next morning, and the dude that ended up banning half the players last night is STILL in there. I ban him and am immediately banned by Myu. I got a message from the guy I banned, something like "LOLOLOL". So I message Myu and ask her what's up, and she just says "Mhmm." and that's it. I later discover she was faking pager messages and posting them in announce in the game.

So I give up. What kind of game is worth hassel like that, anyways? Today I STA'd to my pager, "Does anyone have the DBTC updated host files and wants to send them to me? (STA)" and Myu came back with, "DBTC"? and I told him, "I'm not talking to you. I really only talk to people that don't pretend to be the opposite gender" and he responds with "LOLOL. FAG" and pager-bans me. So, Myu Miharu is, more than likely, The Behemoth, get_off_my_cloud, or maybe even Ter Wang. Or maybe she's an outside force, like Rhue, because I heard Rhue might have been the one to ban me last.

Now let's look at the evidence supporting this theory - Myu acts like a man, talks like a man, and throws a fit like an eleven year-old male. 99% of the Finale population that isn't trying to get into "her" pants believes "she's" male. Everything "she" does points an extreme amount towards being male, and being a different Finale player. I have IP-scanned her with the verb in-game and it said she had an alternate logged in, too, but I didn't know who it was. I am almost certain she is Endo(The Behemoth) or Ter Wang. Or maybe both of them, because Myu gave Ter Wang level 3 admin and two days into the game, Endo was God-like.

So, be warned, BYONDers, where there are two, there are more! For those of you that skipped to the bottom of this post...

Myu Miharu is a man!

Thank you. That is all.

DBTC

All right, it's really come down to this point. I like that game, and it was updated awhile ago. I couldn't download it then and I can't download it now, so I'm asking someone, anyone, to upload the files somewhere so I can download them. Thank you.

My own Mystic Journey rant

Okay, if you don't care about Mystic Journey, refrain from posting your retarded irrelevant responses here.

Just recently, I decided to begin playing Mystic Journey again. Mostly because I didn't have anything to do, mind you. So I'm scrolling through the list on my old client (see last post) and I find an MJ server. Neat. I login, the game hasn't changed much, and I play for awhile. Yeah, not much of a change at all, and yet, I still find the game a bit addicting. I always play a cleric and it's pretty fun.

However, on that same night I was playing, this joke comes in named "Genesismagician". His name in-game is Zeo or something, and I have no idea who he is. At one point I "accidently" get him killed because he's running through these caves, following me, and he runs into me and these weak monsters maul him to death. He freaks out in server-chat, and to make a long story short, he ended up banning me because I told him that any game where I got muted for defending myself wasn't worth playing.

So, I'm just kind of lounging around, and the owner of the server, "Kim" messages me. I tell her I'm banned, she unbans me, and for some reason, decides to give me all this equipment and whatnot. By now she's given me her MSN and I've been talking to her a bit on there. We talk for awhile, actually, and eventually she goes to bed and I fall asleep shortly thereafter.

I login the next day and I'm really just hanging out, and the GenesisMagician guy comes in again. He doesn't say a word to me for at least two hours straight, which is fine with me, until someone makes a Momma joke directed at me. Blam, they get muted. I crack one back, BLAM, I'm muted! I unmute myself (Apperently Kim has given me admin) and the Genesis dude freaks out. I tell him if he bans me, well, Kim unbanned me last time when he banned me for something retarded. So he bans me, and I return to the lobby.

Okay, at this point, Kim has been afk for a good... 3+ hours? Apperently she "went to take a shower". Genesis comes into the lobby and Kim suddenly grants him GM powers there. Kim tells me that I can't undo Genesis actions and that I can't be unbanned this time because Genesis has more authority than her. I leave, of course, since I can see now that Kim is obviously Genesis. I prove this later by returning to the lobby on an alternate key and asking Kim/Genesis some questions regarding who owns the server.

She tells me, of course, that she is the owner of the server, and that she holds the ultimate authority. I ask her what it's like to pretend to be a woman and log-off. For those of you that have missed the morale of this story:

Most women are men on BYOND, and the best example of this is Genesis.

Genesis is Kim. Kim is Genesis. Do not believe Kim if she says she's a female.

That is all. :)

(Genesis = GenesisMagician)
(Kim = Loveisgreat)

Byond 3.5?

Originally I was under the impression that when a program was upgraded, it got better. BYOND is the first program to ever go against this trend that I know of. Let's compare things, shall we? I'm a long time player of BYOND, I know how things worked with the older clients.

Older Clients
The client I was using just before I updated was the one where the client was all you needed. The hub was integrated straight in to it and accessing games was easy and quick. The pagers sent/received messages had their own box to appear in so you didn't lose it in the other things. If we wanted to go from one game to another, the client would automatically disconnect from the game we were playing and transfer smoothly over to the other.

Newer Clients
Now let's compare this to the client I just wasted a few minutes of my life installings. The pagers now get shoved into the tiny box at the bottom where they could get lost in disconnect messages and such. The Games tab, while it looks useful at first glance, is nothing but a list crammed full of games. To top it off, the list rarely stays long enough for you to see. I was trying to find a game and I'd search for a bit and the thing would go blank and then display what I'd assume were my "Watched Games" list. This happened even after I switched my view to "All Games". What is the point of this tab if we can't use it? To top it off, turns out we AREN'T supposed to use it!

Everyone I talked to said you now had to open up your internet browser and find the games from there! And now that the main BYOND page has been massacred beyond recognizability, I cannot find the games I am looking for. Do unpublished games even exist still? And what is with this transfering me to a BYOND members page? Does this mean I need to submit my game to these wierdos and hope they put it in that category? What the hell?

And now, if I'm trying to connect to a game and say, for instance, it doesn't connect, and I click a different game, another dream seeker pops up. What kind of a waste is that? Now my computer burns resources by first opening one dream seeker, and then needing to load another if I log out of the first. I'm not even going to open Dream Maker, because I'm afraid aliens will fly out of my fucking computer and zap my eyes out.

The newer versions of BYOND are so utterly flawed that I am GLAD I did not delete my older BYOND version setup files. Of course, now even that client is hindered because we have to navigate through three pages of useless crap to find a game we might be interested in. And if we can't, we get to navigate back to the start and try somewhere else.

For any of you that post comments here that are irrational flames, I'm deleteing it. Go bitch on your own blog.
