Chatters Guild Opens
The Chatters Network is currently under development by myself and a small group of developers, though anyone is allowed to join the project or contribute to development. There is currently a test Channel Server running The Lounge at digitalbyond.net. We'd love to see everyone there. Below you can find links to various resources pertaining to Chatters.

If you'd like to be added to the Google Code project, which will grant you access to modify the source code, please email me at Xooxer@gmail.com or track me down in the pager or on Chatters and I or one of the other project members will add you. You will need a Google account to join.
The source code is open and free for anyone to read, though you must be a member of the Google Code project in order to modify it. The source code and all resources are distributed under the MIT license. That means you can do pretty much anything you'd like, even create commercial works or charge for the source, so long as the copyright and license information remain and can be accessed in the program. Please refer to the Chatters source _global.dm file for the specific license terms.
We're looking for volunteers of all backgrounds and skill sets to help out with the development of Chatters. Right now we're laying the basic groundwork for network connectivity, and The Lounge is the only instance of the Channels Server running. Once we're confident in the Network, and the Channel Server, we'll be opening the program up for others to host their own channels. If you're interested in helping, please email me, stop by Chatters or catch me on the pager.
We'll also soon be needing web developers to help create the Chatters Network Portal, the web interface into the Chatters Network. Those with experience in HTML 4.0, CSS, Javascript, PHP or MySQL are strongly encouraged to participate. Graphic artists should also apply.
Feel free to join the Chatters Guild, even if you do not wish to contribute. This will become the main Chatters Forums when development is complete, so stop by often when your friends aren't online and share yourself and your ideas with the community.
