Writing this for those who've been wondering where I went.
School
I'm in what we call "Lower Sixth Form" at my school in Jamaica, it's literally "Grade 12" in an American system.
I've been stressed lately as I have had to complete a lot of Internal Assessments (Huge subject projects.) which are all due this week. When i'm done it will be straight to studying for the Inter-Caribbean CAPE Unit 1 examinations (sigh).
However when i'm done i'll be free! For a few months of summer holidays. My first exam is May 4th and the last one is June 8th. Can't wait. :)
Game Developement
Zane444 and I decided to create an RPG using some of Bleach Revolution's art. A lot of the game's mechanics are similar but we've changed the whole background of the game to a Mythological setting. I'll probably write more about this in my future blog post as we progress.
We both however have a desire to just release something for people to have fun with (and also to renew any diminished faith in our abilities to complete a project), so you can look out for smaller projects from the both of us (partnered and separate.) I've personally written a design for a tower defense game, i'm literally addicted to those type of games and having been playing Falacy's "Celestial Chaos: Guardians" I've developed the motivation to go forward with it. I'll probably release the game rather soon (Using placeholder art of course.)
Real Life Projects
A few of my friends and I had started a group called "Our Dancehall". We had started it to promote young talent in Jamaica and generally to circulate positive messages and create entertaining content for our fans.
Due to the work we've been doing I've been spending some of my free time lately learning to better utilize programs like Vegas Pro (Video editing software.) and Cinema 4D (3D rendering program.) it's been a lot of fun and i'm wondering now if i'll really major in Software Engineering or go into media. There is a market for it here in Jamaica so who knows.. May be a profitable field to enter?
