Zane and I started a new project we've named "Spirit Age", regularly we never announce anything we start until it gets pretty far along but we both agree we can benefit from posting and getting feedback from the community.
So! if you have any questions, please ask we'd love to answer them.
#2 Moussiffer: Well what we have worked out so far is mostly gameplay.
We're focused mostly on quick and responsive combat, weapons are a huge focus and we want combat to be more about the tactics one uses than their statistics. In terms of powers we're going to use the elements as the basis for special skills.
Every player has something we call Spirit, it's a creature that lives within the player that lends it's special abilities to it's owner. Sort of like a Pokemon with that Naruto way of channeling power. It can be summoned or simply used to aid while inside to player adding effects to the players combat.
#1 Teka123: It's set in a colonial period so flintlock guns and swords are the main weapons of course we'll be a little more diverse and throw in some other stuff later on, and yes that's exactly it. The energy a spirit produces is the main power source in the world. Every "engine" is operated by a spirit's energy.
We're pretty open to suggestions. So it'd be cool if we could develop a great game with the community.
It does look really good and i love the interface, And it's interesting that it has Guns and swords, I wonder will this be set in a near modern time?
this is an age of spirits then? does that mean spirits rule the world, or does that mean spirits are used as a means of daily living like the steam age it's the spirit age, do spirits become used as a power suply lol.
The icon look very well in proportion and i actually love the sword stance and the base in general :)
