There are plenty ways for BYOND to earn money without having to literally sacrify fangames.
I like that idea of a MySQL Dtabase, I would buy one if there was the choice.

Why not get rid of fangames in their entirety from the site with all of the upcoming items? A large percentage of them either rip sources, icons, or ask for "donations".

@Neo Rapes Everything: Even Naruto: Eternal Memories has a donate verb in it, where you "Donate" for characters (pay for them). This bull**** ticks me off.


This is the continued forum for me because Eternal Memories banned me from his forum posts for discussing Donations on his game's forums with Neo Rapes Everything.

Don't worry kid, the fangames will be gone soon enough (and possibly more).

Step 1 - Website Re-design
Tom says he'll allow fangames because he doesn't want to stifle creativity, as that's what BYOND is all about

Step 2 - Flash client
Tom says he'll allow only listed/featured games to use the stand-alone client. Fangames obviously can't make the cut.

Step 3 - ???

Step 4 - Profit.

By who, by an unknown who's been accussing certain fan-games for something they haven't done? By the way, you joined on 13 June, do you even know what's BYOND's Game's Current State? Let me say that I just see a troll here with lots of words to say with no meaning.

I'm truly sorry you assume that my join date is the date in which I joined this community instead of the date my account joined this community.

Although I've checked that game they were talking about, I saw no such Donate verb. Then I've checked your changelog, which says that you added a Donate verb in version 1.10 as shown here:

I've also asked several people ingame and they told me that those donate characters really exist, so you're making profit of it. That's pretty illegal bro.

Thank-you Raimo. That verb existed from 1.10 to 2.65 (which was the version up until a couple of days ago). Now it apparently has been masked in some way but still exists.
