I get my 12x11in Tablet today. Using a mouse is cool and all, but nothing beats a big 'ol tablet. My old tablet didn't work with my new desktop PC due to Vista so I was forced to say goodbye to my old 5x8 friend, but hell, I'm not complaining anymore. Anyway, I'll be posting up a picture when I receive it today and post it up.

So, I'm very happy. But I'm also running out of space on my desk.

My APC power surge protector (it weighs like 25 pounds, no joke) in the back, my house phone, and my G15 keyboard. Honestly, I'm not a gamer anymore(used to be), I use the macros all the way on the left for Photoshop Shortcuts. And by far this keyboard as lasted me the longest and is just great. If I have to buy another, I'll pay more then I paid when it first came out ($99) to get this same model. It also lights up and has a fancy LED with built in media player. Whooo.



My 24 inch wide screen monitor, under the monitor school hw paper, phone, external HDD and knife.




And last but not least, the tablet. And don't let that fool you, I have huge ass hands. I wear a size 15 ring size. You see the new tablet, mouse, pc in the background. And my Nikon D300 that I had to move out of the way so I wouldn't knock it down.

Also for those of you wondering, I got a Vistablet. Not a name-brand Wacom, I have tried Wacom, and they are indeed fancy. But not really for the price. The 24 inch monitor was a few, the D300 was a 2000+ value. But $99 for a I think, 5x5 it is tablet? I don't think so. Vistablet I got for 90 bucks cause I'm a college student, I think it's 130 normally. It's 12x11, and let me say it handles really nice. I can feel the pressure of the pen tip and everything. If you're looking for a cheap tablet, and want it to be a good size, I'd recommend it. My other 5x8 wasn't even a name brand. (had no name at all, actually...which is why I couldn't update the drivers) and worked fine.

And it's aimed to him, though there are many here. "OH, WELL NOW THAT I HAVE PHOTOSHOP, I'M GONNA GO BE GOOD AT ART OR GET BETTER." And he's picked cause my comment was deleted for saying something 100% true.

So tired of hearing that it's not even funny. I work as a graphic designer and let me just say, Photoshop is the program we use less out of everything. I own the whole master Suite of CS4 (bought) and so this makes me a graphic artist. Wrong.

Photoshop doesn't help your skill, nor does it improve it. It's just a tool. Pencil or pen, a "real" graphic artist / artist / whatever doesn't really care. They probably have a preference, but can do the same with either.

? Did he just use that silly term that people use when they steal stuff. "Make". Copy and pasting isn't making, and filtering the hell out of an image isn't art.

I'm 99% sure the image of the guy to the right is a GunZ loading screen character from the art style and being a fan back in the day. It's easy to make a sig. -anyone- can do it. I'd literally be embarrassed to ever show a signature to anyone - unless I drew the whole thing or made it from no tutorials that anyone can just google, and pictures anyone can googleimage.

I no i has skillz. 4 minutes. Really, I managed to improve the image quality. I think the original could have used more light/shadows. But am I gonna go fix it and take credit? No.

Half of these people, if you ask, "What does the Layer style "overlay" do?" -shrug, makes everything all white and kewl lookin-

This is why I don't go, "Wow, nice job." even if it looks nice. You've done nothing. Now if an artist draws a login for a game and everything is 100% original, kudos man. Great job.

And don't even get me started on "brushes". Anyway, this is pretty long and I don't have time to go over it. But really people, before you post up "art" you've done, try to think if you've done anything at all. Cause this:

This community looks down on people who edit rips and have no idea what they're doing, yet approves of people who do the same thing when it comes to art.

PS: I'm studying at a college not only as a Graphic/Commercial Art major but as a side project, I'm trying to be Adobe Certified, and so far so good.

So. I decided today while I had free time, I'm going to make a tutorial with Photoshop.

I'm gonna be doing some work for ^Mobius(hover over for definition). I figured I'd take the opportunity to make a tutorial. Just some generic things I think people should think about before ever making something for someone.

On another note, I got a new PC and Monitor.

Pictar hur - clix

Check out the 1920 x 1200 resolution, it makes everything look so small. This blog looks weird with the thing on top not filling the screen and my member picture is super tiny. It's working great especially when it comes to photoshop or 3D rendering. As for the wallpaper, well, it's something I made out of boredom.

Other then that I'm in a mini-term, hate it. The first few classes are always so boring that I end up helping the teacher. The teacher has given me extra credit instead of taking away because I don't have a book simply because I don't need it. $100 for a book, my ass. It's Power point and computer basics. Never even used PowerPoint but the new version (2007) is so self explanatory from 03.

HOLY CRAP. I don't know whether to cry or laugh. I don't get the idea behind this though, I could get violent games - but....WoW? MMO's? Are Australian kids getting fat or something?

I got a new computer two days ago. Finally something I can run to my speed, 6 gigs compared to the 200 MB I had. Anyway, I recently installed the CS4 Master Suite and it automatically does everything - what I didn't know, is that it also installs Norton Security Scan. Which, I wouldn't mind if every time I uninstalled it and restarted, guess who was back in? It was rather frustrating at first.

Kept googling things, and if you google, "Norton won't uninstall" you get spammed with a crap load of other people.

In the end, I found out you can't auto-install Adobe Shockwave, because it'll automatically put it, and every time you restart it'll be on your desktop. Anyway, after lots of research - lesson learned.

Don't auto-install Adobe Master Suite without disabling Shockwave then manually installing it.
