Me = owned by a car
Yeah, my net was off for quite awhile...AND I was hit by a car last week Tuesday. Surprising to some, though other don't believe. Here's how it happened (and I'm still typing with one hand >.<): I was waslking home from school because I had found out what bus I have to ride when 7th pd lets out...after the buses left th school, and I was tired of waiting for my mom. I walked down this road that eventually branched into a 3-way intersection that had a bridge on the road I was on. I went up to about the end of the bridge, carrying my books. I waited about 5 mins or more before deciding to cross the road. I don't remember if the light was green or red. I lokked both way before crossing (each road is a two-way street) and saw cars coming from down the road I had already walked, an they were quite a distance away, and I believe there were cars on the other roads that were stopped. So, I crossed. Then...I looked right, and the cars were getting a bit closer, but I was good to go as they were about a good 35+ feet away, but then I looked left..a white car, outta nowhere was approaching my left side quite fast. All I could think was, "What the hell?", then there was a loud screeching noise coming from the car as the druver tried to stop..I didn't remember going up the wind shield, and I didn't feel any pain, but my world began to spin, and felt this wierd sensation throughout my body. Next thing I know, I landed on my arm in what you could call a laying down kind of position and felt it to be numb, yet it hurt at the same time. I turned to see the car that had hit me stopped and a few people got out of cars to see if I was alright. I got up, and the guy who helped me up was the guy who hit me. He helped me off the road and picked up all my stuff, including my shoes, which flew off and away from me while I flipped. Some lady who was a nurse or a doctor called an ambulance and I went to Southern Regional in Riverdale. I went through all the treatment and what-not, but ended up staying until about 6 AM Wednesday because I only remembered one number to call (my home phone #), which was off and the hospital didn't hav any vouchers for bus fares. I ended up walking, and I live in Jonesboro. I was scared to cross any road, yet I had to a few times, and was more careful than ever now. I eventually came across a policeofficer who was staking out or something, and he took me home. Ther were a few other things that happened, but for the most part, this is what happened. I have two things to say: I'm a lucky guy to be alive, thank God, and drink lots of milk, boys and girls. Oh yeah, my left arm was fractured in two places and I took painkillers for about the first 6 days of my injury. Here's a pic of my arm now, if you're curious. It's the white cloud looking thing, but it's a bit blurry beacuse I took it with a webcam and I couldn't get the right kind of light because it's raining today.
