I will definitely be competing in this contest, and I would like to form a team of three talented individuals to produce an entry for this contest.

We will be in it to win it. Expect frequent project meetings and a flexible work schedule to make sure we put out an entry of the highest quality by the deadline. Prize distribution will be discussed once the team is formed, and again once the winners are announced.
Well, I decided that since my shading for Conquest wasn't particularly aesthetic... that I should implement bilinear filtering (or bicubic or whatever) to smoothen it out and make it look hotter.

So, here it is. It's bilinearly filtered.
Currently, it draws at a resolution of 4x4 pixels. It's pretty fast, and even under scrutiny it doesn't look particularly blocky.
Before:

After:

You know, this better be a record.

Two people, 50 minutes, dominant ore Kaburite.

Over the course of the 50 minutes, we hit 7 kaburite veins. 6 of which were discovered before 30 minutes were up.

Thanks to Hogtom for an excellent run.
Hey guys,

I've got another udpate for conquest!

I've got production completed and population growth completed. On top of that, I've also got unit commands implemented as well as Fog of War, so now you have to explore the world map (at least until you start building satellites)

Hey guys, here's an update on my progress on Conquest.

The last time I made a post, I had just finished the map generator.

A considerable amount has happened since then.

In the screenshot, there are a number of differences.
This is a small map, generated within 15 seconds most likely. I have the shading disabled, but the 3d generation is still there.
The 3d shading easily doubles the map generation time, which is why I have it disabled.

I have player empires somewhat implemented, and I have territory control implemented (as you can see by the coloring).

The window in the middle of the screen is the prompt that comes up when you're adding something to the territory's production queue.

It took me a while to get a flexible menu datum to work, so that little window there better be appreciated. I didn't want to use an input() anyway. The menu datum can display text, and objects (with object icons and object descs) and it'll return the value selected.

Hey guys

So, a while back, when a certain Snow Fighting contest was still going on, I started an entry that I called "Snow Fortess".

The entry featured 3d projectile simulation (height and gravity), and sandbox style fortress construction. It would have blasted the competition out of the water, if I managed to finish the game system (throwing snowballs and building was already done by the time the deadline came around) in time.

But... Lo and Behold. I'm finally done with the game systems. This means that I'm going to be needing testers over the next few days as I host the game.

Look on the hub to see when I'm hosting publicly, and feel free to join in to help out and have fun!
