BYOND Demo forums not updating correctly

This issue has been resolved.
Descriptive Problem Summary: When a moderator rejects a demo, if it's the newest demo released it's still shown on the front of the demo and libraries forum.

Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem: Create a random demo, have a moderator reject it, check overall forums.(In theory)

Code Snippet (if applicable) to Reproduce Problem:

Expected Results:The Demo will not show on the front of the forum and will instead show the previous "Newest post".

Actual Results:Demo is shown as newest post and on the front of the forum.

Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often? - Every, this is the third time im seeing it.
In other games? N/A
In other user accounts? Yes
On other computers? Didn't check, i assume so.

When does the problem NOT occur? N/A

Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked? (Visit http://www.byond.com/download/build to download old versions for testing.)

1) Never use BMP for web images, ever.

2) It's probably just some caching happening.

Looking at it directly, the hub doesn't appear to be rejected (it says it's pending)

Maybe he deleted and recreated the hub, and the forums haven't updated? (I've noticed they can be kind of slow, but it's been like that for a while...)

1) Whys that? IWas told its best to save things as .png or .bmp, plus .bmp is my PC's default picture save value.

2)Maybe, but this is the third time, and it never seems to happen with Game Updates, once the games rejected, its invisible and not shown as the front post. This has been the front post for Demos and libraries for quite a few hours now.

1) Because BMP saves many times larger than PNG with the same image quality. BMP has never been a web-friendly format, if you have the option between BMP and PNG for digital imagery always pick PNG; the same is true for real-world photography except instead of PNG you should use JPEG.

2) It's either caused by caching or the person is making the entry anew after it gets rejected. If that turns out to be the case we'll have to have a talk with the author.

I am seeing the same issue as you, upon rejecting the entry the posted linked to in the main listing becomes non-existent but isn't removed from the listing.

Definitely a caching issue with the main listing and not the actual forum listing.

Alright, That's somewhat good to know. Would there be a way for Tom or Lummonx to fix it? It gets on my OCD's nerves.

I was unaware of that information on file formats. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'll keep it in mind for next time.

I've been looking into the issue but it appears to be a tough one to suss out. I can't replicate this on our test site at all; it only seems to show up here.

I can confirm that the author did delete his hub entry and remake it--and that he has since deleted it again.
