Since I've looked almost everywhere on the net and couldn't find what I want, what would be the best way to rip icons?

The only thing coming to my mind is downloading the emulator and roms and then taking screenshots and cutting them and putting them into dmi icons. But that seems to be too long and boring. Is there any other way to do it? Or do I just have to stick with this?

is there any online source that can give me icons from games? or do i have to download the emulator and rom and rip it myself?

my parents told me that they're going to but me a new laptop and that i can choose what kind and everything that is around $1000. can anyone here help me pick out a good laptop that can hold alot of songs and can play games well? that's all i really use a computer for. anything that ran run games like fable? is it possilbe?
