It's a bit late to do a skate wishlist, so I'll have to wait until skate 2 to see this stuff (EA decision makers read the BYOND blogs, right?).

-Getting off your deck and walking around, mainly to position yourself easier/better (duh!).
-Lock on view (so my friends can say 'hey DarkView, watch this' and my camera tracks them automatically, which would be great for following behind someone doing a run or even just sitting in a gap they're going to cross).
-Sitting (right now I stop then double grab, which works alright, but proper sitting could allow for control over your pose).
-Laying (for now I have to settle with stopping, then doing a coffin).
-Placing objects like bags, bars, etc to do tricks around/on.
-Failing that, a park editor that allows you to modify the park while you're using it.
-Toys (just junk that you can play around with like cherry bombs, sparkler flares, etc. They'd be annoying though, so you'd want a host option to block/limit their use).
-A few things that can be done used to do buddy moves (ie, we both do air walks and swap decks).
-Customizable 'd-pad moves' (I've got no idea if you can do it in skate or not, but I really want to be able to select my own d-pad moves when I customize my character. The four they give you in the demo are cool, but I want to do a little Bill & Ted when ever I do something excellent).
-More control over the camera in the editor (it's pretty rare, but from time to time I get stuck with the camera way too close on all angles, plus being able to rotate the camera around the skater Matrix style would be sweet).
-More mixing options (ie, cutting parts out, editing in parts of other runs, etc).
-I'm pretty sure the full version will allow it, but saving runs in an editable format to the HDD just makes sense.
-Streaming music player (this might be in already, but I'd like to be able to stream music to the people playing when I host. I've already written up some playlists specifically for the game).
-Not stack on every mistake (I don't mind ragdolling that much, but all skate/BMX/whatever games seem to kill you when you screw up a trick. There are so many times where you screw up a trick and instead of landing on your feet like you'd expect you fall flat to the ground).
-Being able to ask the NPC skaters to do stuff (I'd love to be able to do a trick, mark the start and end point in the editor, then say 'hey, when I say go do that', but I'd settle for a simple 'hey Eric, get the **** out of the pool'. Rainbow Six: Vegas has voice-commands, so this shouldn't be too hard to implement along side the current controls).

Really, I just want the online freeroam mode to be like hanging out at a skate park. I tend to have more fun doing basic tricks in difficult ways. As hard as a 900 is it's just spinning in game, where as a long kickflip over a bunch of bags would be a challenge and look pretty cool.
Thus most of my requests are geared towards getting creative with improvised or planned runs.

So what do you guys want to see added?
I want to see /me get an XBOX 360 soon, so that I can get/play Skate. I've had my eye on it for a while (plus other games, like Assassin's Creed), and I want to get to them. :/
If your bored take a look at skate.ea.com and find the skate.reel galleries section. Most of the clips are pretty lame because people are just checking out what uploading a clip is all about, but there are some really cool ones in there.
Yeah, I'll probably get it for the PS3. I liked the Tony Hawk games for the first few versions. They've kinda lost their shine though, because I could swear I played the same game on my PS1 as they are releasing for my PS3. I'm looking forward to Skate. But you can't get off your board? That was one of the few things they added to Tony Hawk that actually improved the game.

Here's hoping for great online play! Now to find someone else with a PS3...

They wanted to do it but they didn't have the time. The reasoning they give is something along the lines of 'we could make a kickass walking game or a kickass skating game, we chose skating'.
It wouldn't be so bad but they treat steps and such properly instead of as ramps. So it's going to be a pain to have to find an alternate route when the starting point for a run is just up the stairs.

I'm looking at PS3s (60GB) for about $750 on eBay. I don't think they've managed to get under $1000 in stores yet (living in Australia sucks for gamers). Sadly the PS3 version of skate wont be so high on my priority list.
