What are some strategies you dream makers out there have used to have a large map but still have things such as on screen macros and a large output box plus an on screen input box, with a statpanel or something of the sorts too. I was thinking maybe having transparent on screen macro buttons. I was also thinking about if making an output box transparent and having light text appear in it would be a good idea or if people would find it distracting. Also, black edges on maps, what is up with that? Also things such as on screen Stamina, Mana, etc bars. Any thoughts?
Support for transparent controls is extremely limited thanks to Microsoft. You can't make a transparent output control or button, and transparent labels only work over other labels or bar controls.
