Ok, so I my site is in dreamweaver CS3. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to link my website to my domain name or send me a link to a tutorial on how to do that.

Thanks in advance
when you own a domain without a webserver, you will need a webserver to attach the domain to. best bet is to find a webhosting company like bluehost.com or maybe dreamhost.com - they are cheap enough and are more than happy to connect your domain to one of their servers so that you have a place to upload your website to.

if that does not appeal to you, you could try fiddling with DNS (Domain Name Server) entries to direct your domain name to your home computer if it runs a webserver. but this is not for the faint of heart, and can be a real pain in the butt if you have a dial-up or ADSL or cable connection that changes it's IP address frequently. usually not worth the effort unless you happen to be a reasonably skilled system administrator.

but if you are determined, a service like http://www.dyndns.com/ can help set up links between your webserver and your domain name.

A little late but thanks for the reply. I found my hosting service and I am in love with it over 100GB of bandwidth and space for only $20 bucks a month.

late? it was less than 2 days from your post! :p

$20/month? i think you were robbed. most decent places i know of are $5-$10/month, including traffic and domain name.

but none-the-less, congrats!

If the service you've got is nice why are you suing it?
