What do I want for Christmahauniquansica? in Off Topic

I'm not one to celebrate the holidays to begin with, nor am I one to want or expect gifts from other people... so when I'm asked "What do you want for Christmas?", it comes as a bit of a difficult question for me. I've got pretty much everything I want as it is, but I also have a few people who are going to be very insistent on getting me something this holiday season, and if I don't come up with something good, I'm going to end up awkwardly unwrapping another set of clothing that I don't really want.

I'm figuring something electronic, or electronics related at least, but not too expensive, within a $200 price range, maximum, preferably under $100. I have a Gamecube, a Gameboy Advance, and a fairly decent PC.

Any suggestions?

Games, maybe? RE4 for the Gamecube if you don't have it (and shame on you if you don't >:|).

I don't know if there's a tactful way to go about saying this, but how about just receiving some money in place of gifts? That way you can save it until something you DO want comes out, and you can guarantee that it's something you want rather than playing the Holiday Lotto.

You can get a decent Mp3 player for in that range now. I can't remember if you still live in San Diego, but there are a lot of Fry's stores around there that could hook you up.

I usually just go for books. But you said you wanted something electronic, so uh... an e-book? =D

I also got a board game for my last birthday. That was pretty neat. Haven't got to play it yet though.

Hmm, maybe I should ask them to put the money together and get me a Wii, I heard it plays Gamecube games as well, is this right?

Yes. It's actually quite cool, because it's one of those slots that "sucks in the disc", and it can play both the minidisc of the Gamecube, and the normal sized discs.

I already have access to one, and... they bought me a nice one last Christmas, which no longer turns on for more than a second for some reason
