Happy Halloween!

(Posted here as well)

Happy Halloween, everyone! Are you excited for the occasion? Dressed up in your bedsheets, mother's undergarments, with a LEGO container on your head, all ready to gather up your neighborhood's sweets? Then I might ask you to take off that bucket, because it will make reading this article quite impossible... If you're not a witch, at least. Kihihihi!

First of all, Sigrogana Legend! And for the starters, your minds are going to be blown on this one, but: the game is now being hosted 24/7! Thanks a lot to Knight, though, who hosted up until this point, because we might have to resort to him hosting sometime in the future, who knows!

If you remember last year, all of the monsters started coughing up candy the minute you beat their heads in. If you don't remember, then you didn't play back then, and shame on you! It's the same story this year, except we've expanded our candy horizons with the addition of several new witty candies that kept the writing department away from their families for weeks at a time, possibly against their will! Hooray! If that doesn't excite you, then perhaps you're far too out of touch with your inner child. In that case, I'll offer you free stuff! Today, only, if you log in to play, you will receive a QUITE POSSIBLY THE ONLY TIME YOU'LL EVER GET ONE event familiar, the Jacky Lantern!

This ribbon-wearing little bound-to-be-rotting-inna-week harlot will make sure that you get enough candy this Halloween to drown yourself in! However, she will not be able to supply the super-heating gamma ray cannon required to turn your huge piles of candy into liquid with which to drown yourself in. Too bad, so sad!

You're still here? What a good, obedient person you are! In exchange, I'll tell you a super secret about Sigrogana that no one's found out yet! You ready? Have you ever tried to 'Select All' on the Asago Corporation Press Release news post? No? Well, maybe you're better off not trying... Kihihi..

Now then, I seem to have forgotten... What else was this news post about? Oh well, it was probably nothing important, so long!

... Wahahahaha! I saw the look on your face, you looked so surprised and stupid! Worry not, for now we get to the meat in this meat sandwich. A new game, yes! One befitting this holiday of witches and werewolves and mummies and ghosts and pumpkins and the game's name? Witches' Chess! I'm sure you've at least played Chess once in your miserable, short life, yes? Kihihi. Well, if you're content with that, Witches' Chess is a game that will let you play chess with all of your loser human friends as long as you want!

What's that? There's already literally HUNDREDS (2) of BYOND chess games? Well of course there are! You'd have to be a really big moron not to know that! Would it really be fitting to call a normal chess game 'Witches' Chess'? Certainly not!

That's where the 'Witches' Chess' part comes in, dummy. It's just like normal chess, with the huge exception that it totally isn't! You see, witches can use powerful magic to change the way the game is played! When you play Witches' Chess, you don't just play like normal. You power up your magic spells by beating the crap out of your opponent's pieces and other stuff, and then casting spells on your turn! Witches always manipulate the game to best suit them, you see. Spells do all sorts of things, so it's best for you to go check it out immediately, right?!

And hey, if you like medals, you can at least play for a little bit and collect some! This game already has, like, 20 that you can get! That's more than most of your guys' ages, right?!

But, um. One last thing. This game is just being released, right? So it's basically the first ever non-official testing it's gotten! There might be bugs, but you guys aren't scared of bugs, right? Kihihihi... Anyway, if you find some, you can head on over to the Witches' Chess forum and report them! And if you have any neat ideas for medals, game features, or spells, you can post them in the Suggestions section. You know how to type, at least, right?

Thanks for your continued support, and Happy Halloween, everyone!

Since there's at least two posts on the members page about it...

I haven't actually bothered to look at it, but I am aware that there seems to be a rather poor attempt at a Mitadake High emulation floating around. Let me go ahead and clear up what I assume will be a few potential questions people might have.

1) No, I didn't okay it. Didn't even know about it!
2) No, it wasn't made using the source, as you can probably tell. I don't give it out, I don't consider giving it out, so it doesn't get out.
3) I don't really plan to do anything more than click the 'it's a rip' button if it's on the hub.

And I know a good portion of BYOND doesn't care and thinks that anime games deserve the worst sort of treatment and attention but quite honestly, Mitadake High doesn't have much in the way of anime dependency. It isn't based off an existing anime, the source was pain-stakingly coded by me over the course of several months, and if I were to sit down and remove everything anime about it, the game would have one or two less modes and a less interesting help file, but it would still be an entirely playable murder mystery game.

So please don't hate, yo.

Another Status Update

What've I been up to lately? Basically killing myself over Sigrogana Legend and the new site! Of course, you'd know this if you frequented the forums...

We just had a pretty big update to SL a few days ago. It's pretty cool and introduces some new areas, a few new bosses, and some neat game features that I'm, like, totally proud of. I mean, look at these sweet collapsible inventory menus:

And that was only a minor note on this update. Hard to believe, right? Then again, perhaps it isn't.

If you've never heard of the game, it's an RPG. Why, yes, an RPG! Roleplaying being an important part of the game, as well. But if that puts you off, don't worry; maybe after giving the game a try you'll be more open minded to that sort of thing.

If you're on the fence, why don't you go visit the hub page which is here or over there to the right if you're a total lazy ass! Maybe you'll see something that will make you say 'wow, that's totally sweet and I will give it a try'. There's some helpful descriptions of the game on the hub and screenshots that display some of the more unique things the game has.

We also, a little less recently, in June redid that ugly old plain site we had. The new one is http://www.saya.se/neus and it's pretty neat, if I do say so myself. Take a look around, you don't have anything better to do!

Have a nice day.

I'm Back

A huge thanks to Sabaku no Kira for renewing my membership. It was an unexpected surprise all around, but I greatly appreciate it. You may commence downloading the host files for Mitadake again. :D

Sigrogana Legend Update (Jan 09)

We updated today with some changes and additions already listed in the Worklog on the forums (though it's apparent not everyone reads it!) Give it a glance if you're curious what's been added since the last update on the 5th~, but if you're too lazy, I'll summarize; a new class (Detective), as well as several major changes to a few status effects.

My BYOND Membership is also starting on its last month today, and I doubt I'll be able to renew it myself. I don't use this blog much, so it's not a huge deal, but it will mean the host files for the games that have them up here will no longer be accessible. So, if no one renews it for me, I'd grab a hold of the files while you can because hosting them on the website probably isn't going to happen.

Thanks.
