A little disturbing thing I found... Apparently a resource extraction list from someone named 'Rob'. Was that the name of the DarkWizard guy? Either way, some peculiar stuff. Seems to have been posted 2 days ago.

Apparently Mitadake and Sigrogana got extracted, which is really weird because I haven't actually sent the SL host files to anyone but one person, so I don't really know how they could've gotten the .rsc.
Unfortunately several other games seem to have gotten it too; Proelium, P2, DNO, Seika, etc. I dunno how this makes me feel. On the one hand I am disturbed because I felt I had a relatively good security on at least one of my games, which seems to have been for naught, and I don't think the person who I have host it would send the host files to anyone else. I am also a little upset about how easy it seems to be to pull files from the .rsc, taking less than a second for even big games.
Going to go ahead and save a copy of this page just in case the person who posted it finds it and tries to take it down, so let me know if you can't access the page anymore and I'll post it.

The client has to download the RSC from the server in order to display the resources. It's nothing new.

<--(10:25 pm) T3h B4tman: regarding your post about rsc extraction; having the actual host files aren't needed. simply logging into the game downloads a temporary copy of the rsc to your computer which can then be used for extraction.

Being concerned about graphics and audio is natural. A forum search would have concluded that this kind of thing isn't abnormal, but still, cut the guy some slack. If I recall correctly, Sigrogana Legend uses RPG Maker graphics. So is it really a big deal that someone extracted the rsc file? All they got was resources that were already free.

I'm more concerned about other games than mine, Mikau, since most of the graphics are, like you said, RPG Maker/public use. Though, there are quite a few hand-drawn monsters that someone donated that I would be a little upset to see elsewhere. But it's not a huge deal for me, at least.
