You have been humbly invited to take part in a multiplayer battle of wits against fellow humans in the popular fashion of Chess.

If normal Chess does not interest you, or if you are one of our honored Witch guests, you may instead take a short trip to the Witches' Domain, where things are not what they seem, and your opponents will use powerful spells to make you submit to them. Of course, use of your own magic is permitted, as well.

It would be an honor if you would join us and demonstrate your intellect and cunning.

Great game, but it would totally kick every other Chess games' ass if it had an AI system =P

Just saw this on the Featured Game sidebar and it caught my eye. Looks like a pretty cool concept. I'll definitely play it someday.

Is there a reason it should be other than the pictures of the people playing the game? Those are whatever players have set as their BYOND member avatars.

I didn't know that, but it looks like he injected some stuff from Umineko into it. Though I guess since it did start off as a sort of interactive visual novel game it doesn't matter. Heh.

Having played a few games, I have to say it's pretty cool. My one recommendation would be to split Elixer into two separate spells: one to sacrifice anything BUT a pawn (for MP), and another to simply sacrifice pawns (0 MP). As it is, this all-purpose spell is so powerful that not selecting it can be considered a newbie trap.
