Well, I was trolling Etsukereuy (?) and he was showing me his artwork (a rock), asking me how to improve it (the rock) and such. He showed me his "first" base, not sure if that's exactly true but either way, I was in the creative mood. So, I made an edit (Doesn't resemble his whatsoever so I don't really count it as an edit) to help him capture perspective. After I sent it back, I realized there was much more I could've done to it. So I did it, and am still doing it, so here is what I have THUS far.

Edit is on the right; I'd like if I could get some more experienced artists help.

EDIT: Normally I don't do bases, but I haven't done one in a while myself. And I wanted to see if I improved on my perspective and such. Sorry about the base in advance, sure you're all tired of seeing them.

EDIT #2: Updated as of 1:23pm PST.

EDIT #3: Updated as of 2:20pm PST: Shoulders more relaxed, some shading fixed; I think I'll leave it at this for now.
Reminds me of this.

Thanks for the advice?

Updated, did the side view. Finished tweaking it. Yes, the base IS supposed to be skinny.

EDIT: Updated, tweaked the side view. Started the North View.

Perspective, the legs will appear slimmer when you're in 3/4th.

I know this lol, but those are too skinny I feel.

The whole base is skinny (EDIT) but I give you permission to do an edit to see if you can improve on it.

The boots in side view are too slim. You should make it 1px wider

Working on making him look less hunched over. Brought his legs together one pixel, worked on the hands a bit for north and south. Also made the side view head 1 px large, as well as the side view shoes.

See what you think, I brought the eyes up, reduced your hunched over look, and I also widened the legs a bit.

Oh, and I played with the armpit area too, it seemed a little to high for correct anatomy, arm pits are around 3/4 of the chest, almost to the bottom of the pectoral muscle.

He isn't very skinny anymore, like I wanted. The eyes ruin the perspective and quite frankly make it look as if he's sticking his neck out and forcing himself to look up. The legs are too thick for the perspective also. I made an edit to my original, still working on it also.

If you say so lol. But what about the arm pits? And, I think you can reduce the hunched look by adding some more shading to the top of the shoulders, it will push them back some (visually), they look flat and more like a straight on point of view.

Version #2

Your eyes don't match up from side to front, and I feel as though perhaps the legs looks so weird because they get too big too fast, maybe try and make the thigh get bigger a little more gradually?

Kind of tired of updating for now. As for the legs, they look big due to the pockets on the side.

I actually like it. The eyes could be lifted one notch higher on the south state, but I see nothing wrong with the Anatomy. It all depends on which kind of anatomy you're going for. If this is what you want the body type to be, then it's good :). It actually looks cool to be honest! Lol.

I felt some things about the perspective was off. I assumed you were trying to create a 3/4th perspective.
In my best opinion, I felt some shading and size wasn't quite right.

I also, in my opinion, fixed the length of the legs, the ears, the shoulders, the hands, and added a more NORTHEAST light-source instead of a NORTH light-source.

Gonna start working on the walking animation now.
