April 1, Beware.

"In an event that hits the computer world only once every few years, security experts are racing against time to mitigate the impact of a bit of malware which is set to wreak havoc on a hard-coded date. As is often the case, that date is April 1.

Malware creators love to target April Fool's Day with their wares, and the latest worm, called Conficker C, could be one of the most damaging attacks we've seen in years.

Conficker first bubbled up in late 2008 and began making headlines in January as known infections topped 9 million computers. Now in its third variant, Conficker C, the worm has grown incredibly complicated, powerful, and virulent... though no one is quite sure exactly what it will do when D-Day arrives."

What exactly does this mean? That's quite simple, actually. The following means that any computers infected the with ominous Conficker C worm will be under the master control of someone in the web, which means the possibilities to what may happen are endless. What's worse, apparently the worm is very well hidden, and you don't know it's in your computer until you activate the worm's function and dozens of viruses invade your PC, and in some cases, your entire LAN network.

I suggest being cautious this April Fool's day, because Malware writers might be cooking up another disaster.

If you DON'T know if you're infected with the Conficker C virus, Microsoft has taken the liberty of constructing a free saftey scan which should detect any versions of the Conficker C virus.

Ya-Ha! Ahoy, maties!

Ahoy, maties! Welcome to me humble ship! Here 'ye shall be shown what been worked on Rador's Path, 'ya hear?

We be havin' some fine screenshots for sale! Them's keep your foods safe from sea crabs and guaranteed to keep 'yer sailors from catchin' skirby with their beards, 'Arrrg.

Yeah, I won't be talking like some sort of illiterate pirate "wannabie" so instead, I'll flat out tell you that this post mainly contains proof that I've been working on Rador's Path.

!WARNING! This post may contain traces of drunkness, incompetence, and lack of intelligence generally. Parental supervision advised.
(And if you don't HAVE a parent, too damned bad. Go hammer out your parents' tombstones and bring them next to your computer.)

.. Yeah.. About that.. This really isn't relevant, but in case you have a fettish for folder statistics, here ya go!

Notice how I've made some adjustments to the interface. Nifty, eh? Also, notice some enhancements to the Newb Realm's greeting place.

Awesome literature. Those aren't going to be for decoration, either. This is the general knowledge center of the Newb Area, for newcomers to brush up on their history and knowing of the world that is Sietaga. There's also some clues and tips for them in the books, too!

Ah! Here's a generic little card; Combat. Here, you see me meaninglessly pound on poor Spore Mushrooms for the fun of it. Thankfully, they don't do anything but run away like cowards because this is the combat training area. We don't want our newcomers getting hurt, so this breed of Spore Mushrooms have been tamed to accept humans for who they are and allow themselves to be pulverized for no apparent reason. Talk about living large, eh?

Clicking the nice backpack/rucksack button brings up this menu. This is called the inventory, which is run by a simple grid system. Here we have 100 of our buddy Wahrung, which I brought up as a demonstration. Wahrungen stack, which means that with the amount of it increasing, the icon_state of the object also increases. A simple money-stacking system that gives you more of a satisfaction when you see piles of those in your inventory.

Well, that's it. If you want more, all I can say is..

Stay tuned? Keep watching my development posts? Whichever, man.

Left in the dark?

I've been getting very lazy lately with Rador's Path, and believe me, I've noticed. Have I given up? No, but I just can't emphasize how notoriously slow I am at doing stuff. I tend to make one thing, PERFECT it, then move onto the other. It's a slow style of programming, believe me.

Anywho, work has been done, I plan on updating you further on what I have done soon enough. My main concern is getting a Player2Monster Combat system. It's not quite as easy as it sounds, because I'm creating balanced equations to work with the combat system to determine damage and the such.

Rador's Path will be nearly identical to RPG World, but a lot more graphically oriented and flexible. RPGWO was created in Visual Basic, a programming language not quite designed for creating multiplayer games. However, the creator was fantastic enough to make it happen, but the game is critically binded to the boundaries of Visual Basic's language.

Is this going to be a jock of RPGWO? No, it is not. Though it will seem like a more graphically oriented version of it, crucial ingame aspects shall set the borders between "Jocking" and taking ideas from it. I'm also taking some ideas from other BYOND-based games which I shall not mention.

More in-depth of what I aim Rador's Path's community to look like, Rador's Path is going to be a Roleplay-based game.

What does this mean?

It means that roleplay shall be deeply ENCOURAGED, but not exactly enforced. The future administration team shall set the example of great roleplay for the player population of the game. Roleplaying will be awarded for those who even an effort to attempt to roleplay.

In tribute to the encouraged roleplay, a unique storyline for Rador's Path has already been planned out by myself and my assistant(s). For one, the game will take place in an alternate reality of Earth, in which Earth the planet is known as Sietaga(Syit-Ta-Ga). The currency of this game shall go by Wahrung.

If you're smart, Wahrung is german for Currency. The plural of Wahrung is Wahrungen(German for Currencies). Trust me, effort has been put to making this game. A lot's been done, most being just foundations for future programming and systems.

So yes, I haven't left you all. Work's being done slowly. The time version 1.0 is released is still unknown unfortunately.
