Inside look

Suukou Faita By Branks
Q:What inspired you to make Suukou Faita ?
A:Being a long time fan of the Fighting genre, I was bored and tired of working on Anime games. As a die hard Rival Schools/King of Fighters fan, so taking in all the years of playing those games, I began to realise a game based off the best features would work well. OF course, this goes without saying.. very minor features were also inspired by The Last Air Bender, but mostly Fighting games in general. The lack of originality on BYOND fueled this desire, thus allowing myself (Branks) to meet Lige who also wanted to work on an original project.

Q:What kind of game is Suukou Faita ? And what does it have to make me and other want to play it?
A:Suukou Faita- is simply an Action/Fighting game, with role playing elements. What Suukou Faita has is a very action-like combat system which destroys any chance of button mashing, or "senior citizens way" which is what I'd like to call the slow combat with mass delays. Schools teach 3 elements: Fire, Wind, Earth. Each with unique skills to stop your opponent. On top of powerful martial arts at your disposal. Furthermore... a unique chain questing system is in the works which will allow the players to go through and tie together many quests in order to ease traveling back and forth. Altogether, Suukou Faita is one of those games you'd have to log into and see for yourself in order to get a REALLY good idea on what it has.

Q:What will you be fighting; other players or Advanced AI?
A:A mixture of both. For starters, you'll be fighting on-campus bullies, which are entirely AI controlled. Through that, you'll eventually find the time to enter your masters dojo, and compete against real players in order to rank up and obtain new gear, and skills to further your adventure. There will be blockades for stopping un-balanced battles (as far as ranks/strengths go).

Q:What are some of your things you find are key elements to makeing this a great game?
A:Sticking to the original idea that was formed. Always keep the eye on that primary goal of completion. There is a document with a small amount of features for version 1. Keeping it simple makes it easier to achieve success. Taking in all the years of gaming, help by utilizing gameplay mechanics and shapeshifting them to fit the theme of Suukou Faita-. No longer making games to please the crowd is the most important point I"d like to put out there. If you're a developer (independent), then you should focus on what YOU would like to play, rather than developing what people want to play. If you're trying to please hundreds, you'll burn out.

Lige says:
We're working on getting a playable game out there asap. We're mainly focusing on a test version of the game - basically to give the potential players/fans a taste of the game while ensuring them that the game isn't dead.

The Whats New Review will be post every week so if you got a game you like to see on the next Issue you can send us a email at [email protected]
Do I win some money or something for having the GotW?
Great job; just like the last issue. Keep it up!

Looking forward to next week :D
No cam but you got the game of the week and that a prize all in its on
Yut Put The game is great its fun i have had fun with my friends and they all love it pluse a board game takes time to learn and i think it cool the way it is and if you click your voxle it tells you everything you need to know and almost every board game is based around rolling dice
Fix lol its a shitty fix but it works

I do not believe Voxles should have been your "Game of the Week"

It is an original board game. There is no helpfile in-game presented to players. The game is not even automated, the players have to figure it out themselves.

Once you do learn how to play, the gameplay is less than garbage. The entire game is based around rolling dice. Positioning your "Voxles" has no effect on the gameplay. There is absolutely no reason to make one decision over another because no matter what you do it's up to chance. In the end it's just back and forth rolling until someone either loses or places 100 pieces on the board(because you can.)

Glorified Yahtzee made worse.

Well, the problem is that it's his "Game of the Week" as you pointed out. Basically you're trying to tell him his opinion needs to match yours. If you feel like Voxles is garbage, then you can not include the game in your own blog post rather than running around telling people how they should feel towards my game.
I think I should start doing a poll for GOW
IDC its my review my post my GOW so get over it not like byond is following everything i say
Wow, Yut Put, you just made yourself seem like a complete asshole with a long post full of nothing but crap. Grabbing sentences from Dungeon's comment and identifying them as opinion and fact must be hard work! We certainly can't identify them ourselves!
I appreciate you typing a list, but you missed my point entirely.

That's as stupid as saying "I don't think you should put pepperoni on your pizza" or "you would look better if you wore blue instead of red shoes". A better comment would've been something along the lines of "Personally, Voxles was pretty boring to me.", not "Hey, you shouldn't feel this way towards this game and here is why."

There is no helpfile in-game presented to players.
If you spent more than a few seconds in the game, you would have been one of the people who I explained the absence of a help-file to.

The game is not even automated, the players have to figure it out themselves.
I don't even know what the point is here. It's an online game meant to give players the experience of an actual board-game - of course it isn't automated. There isn't much "figuring out" to do either, as you conveniently mentioned:

and if you click your voxle it tells you everything you need to know

The entire game is based around rolling dice.
Opinion. Going back to my previous point, I doubt you spent any real time in Voxles. Any one of the regular players will tell you there are several strategic elements involved.

Positioning your "Voxles" has no effect on the gameplay.
False information. Read through the chart located on the Voxles hub and you'll see why. The upcoming update will create even more positioning strategies.

There is absolutely no reason to make one decision over another because no matter what you do it's up to chance.
More false information. It seriously helps to stay in a game for longer than a few moments. You'll end up being able to make a more informed argument rather than just sentences upon sentences of crap.

In the end it's just back and forth rolling until someone either loses or places 100 pieces on the board(because you can.
False, and this comment shows you haven't even played the recent version which was being hosted since last week.
Its 4/20 every one Rejoice
I agree make a poll for the game of the week.
Run this through spellcheck...
Spell check shows no error
You probably don't have the grammar check active. It's full of grammatical errors. I can point out at least 5 in the first line.
Pyro i had to re write this review and i did it in like 2 hours so bare with me here Im sorry for the grammar errors i will work on them when i have the free time
Dungeon, Yut Put made fantastics completely non-riped games, hard handcrafted whit good quality. (See Pokemon by Yut Put.

http://www.byond.com/games/YutPut/Pokemon)

That gives him the right to tell any shit he wants at another non-riped games.
