I've noticed that BYOND has a growing number of musicians. I seen this idea on musician's forum and thought it might be cool to try out here. I'd like to start BYOND "jam." Basically, we'd get a group of people to play instruments and record a song. First we'd come up with a backing track, then we could dub over with lead tracks.

If anybody is interested let me know.
If I had something decent to record on to my computer, I'd definatly be interested. I had thought of something similar to this myself.

I started playing [acoustic] guitar around christmas time. I'm decent, I've played at an open mic night at the school and it wasn't all bad ;)

But all I have is this cheap crappy computer microphone, and the sound quality is horrible.

Yeah, I have nothing decent to record with ethier or I would, all I have is a mic on a headset.

LOL, I got a Live! Drive on my pc with:

Spdif in/out
midi in/out
headset in/out
mic 2 in/out
Never even used it. <_<
I dont think my parents would like me moving my drumkit into their room. Or the computer to where I can set it up playing the drums.

Or else Id join in.
What I think would be really great would be a composer pool to help people with game music. The only musicians I'm aware of who are capable of this are too busy.

That would be cool too. I actually have a collection of midis that are royalty free and everything on my website.

My favorite is Tomorrow's Sorrow. Those are old though. I could probably do some nicer stuff now.

I prefer to work with audio for a few reasons though. I can use my guitar alot easier in the writing process. Also, midi is a pain because it doesn't sound the same on every system. I could get a midi pickup for my guitar and that would allow me to record with it, which would be cool.
I can play the guitar (electric and acoustic), bass guitar (electric and acoustic), drums, mixer, and a turn table. Though, I specialize in the bass guitar. If you need a bass guitarast for this, then I guess I could join. I have been playing the bass guitar for over seven years now and I can read notes by ear (as in I just listen to a song and play it). I have also been in many bands and performed in many gigs, mostly at bars or pubs. If you are interested in the type of music I listen to, well, everything. I like every type of music out there, and no, I am not joking. I like to play songs from Korn, to Slipknot, to Pearl Jam, to Nirvana, to Beastie Boys, to System of a Down and all the way to Bens Folds Five. You name it I can play it.

Sounds cool. Would you be OK with recording the bass track once we come up with a rhythm guitar track (or whatever intrument we use first)?
