First on a different topic I just wanna say I love the new BYOND forums. Easier to view and navigate.

What operating system and/or browser are you using? Windows 7 64 bit Service pack 1

What were you trying to do when the problem occurred? I am trying to play a BYOND game but after a minute or two the DS freezes and crashes.

What actually happened, and how did it differ from what you expected? The game lagged to freeze up then it starts to not respond and asks me to close the program.

What steps did you follow? If I run it under administrator then the problem doesn't occur.

I don't feel good about running it in administrator but without doing so the DS crashes. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
Hi Emfulz,

Is there any reason you don't feel good or safe while running your computer as an administrator?

I can assure you that there should be no reason to fear running your computer as an administrator, your just as protected as you are when your not an administrator.

Its actually very common for issues like this to occur from running your computer while not being an administrator, and I'm fairly sure that there is no easy way to go about fixing this or changing the non-admin default settings.
I'm not sure where either of you got this idea, but this is in no way whatsoever an administrator problem. This is a problem with the game you're playing being poorly programmed and causing infinite loops that crash your dream seeker. You just think that running it as an administrator is solving your issue because it's a erratic problem that you haven't encountered yet in your limited testing.

Feel free to run BYOND without administrator, it's not going to help your situation. You need to contact the developer of the game and tell them to do some error checking in the dream daemon they're hosting it in. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an extensive list of runtime errors piling up.
