When you clean compile can you get back what you lost?

When you clean compile something does it like move to a folder or somewhere where you can get it back?

Clean compile deletes the RSC file (along with, I THINK, the DMF file as well) and recompiles them... nothing happens to the other source files, such as .DM, .DMI, etc
