I would just like to say, Silk, I am sorry for being a hater. I have always acknowledged you as a great programmer, but often times I find myself not agreeing with you. Sometimes on levels that make may be a little immature.

I would just like to agree to disagree on some things.

You can't be angry at Silk for receiving attention. He can't force you to pay attention to him or read his blog.

If everybody wouldn't view Silk as being a big deal, then he wouldn't be a big deal. The BYOND community seems to insist on treating him like the US treats Rush Limbaugh (Note: I'm not comparing Silk to Rush Limbaugh, just how they are viewed by their respective communities).

He didn't save the cheerleader, save the world, and he hasn't killed your mother. He's just a guy who's knows what he believes and has a lot going for him.

I can respect SilkWizard for his accomplishments, certainly for how well he has done for himself with his dream job, and I honestly wish him the best. However, I sincerely mean it when I say that he is BYOND's biggest drama queen, and I think he feeds on the hate that most of upper-tier BYOND users have for him, and it only serves to fuel the fire that is his ego.

Self-confidence is one thing, being an egotistical prick is another. So be careful with that ego of yours, Silk.

He's good at what he does, but I disagree with the man on virtually every opinion and philosophy he has...lol

I assume there must be some things we agree on (and I vaguely recall there already being some), or at least some things that we disagree on less than 100%, but for the most part, we're almost diametrically opposed...

So, lately, I try to avoid taking the bait...lol

Personally I respect SilkWizard for his outward focus, and voicing his opinions + Being a handy programmer.

Sure we can disagree with what he is saying, but none of us can really look down on someone who says how he feels, and is not afraid to show his input on things in his own manner.
