We've just released a new control panel for managing BYOND games on Farawayhost.com. You can access it right from the BYOND client and it's now much easier to start, stop and kill games, among many other features. Additionally, we've added a much needed second server so you shouldn't see any more slowdowns.

In other news, we've also just become an officially registered LLP. What does this mean to you? Well, not much, but it's still pretty cool. This is just a small part of the new stuff being rolled out. We'll be offering more news in the near term future. Keep an eye out for more updates!

We have changed our control panel from Webmin to the popular CPanel! This will make managing your account really easy.

With the standard PHP, DMCGI, Perl and Python, we also now offer Ruby on Rails!

Add to that, for an extra $1.99, you can get SVN and Trac. It's integrated right into cpanel, and as such, is very easy to manage.

What is SVN and Trac? SVN allows you to manage coding projects and your programming team very easily.

With the SVN & Trac package, you get unlimited projects, up to 1 gb of space to store them and unlimited users. You don't even need an existing hosting account to sign up.

With Trac, you can easily manage your project online, file tickets, create a timeline, and view and manage your project files. You can allow anonymous access or require all visitors to provide a password.

With an SVN client like Tortoise SVN, you can download updates your other team has made and commit your own changes to the online database.

With CPanel, you also get great new log stats so you can see where your visitors are coming from.

Just putting out an update announcement. We've recently undergone some maintenance, and the result is a shiny new control panel with dozens of new features.

Some of these features are:

- The ability to manage your domain(s), mail/FTP users, databases and DNS straight from the control panel.
- Cron jobs can be set up to frequently run commands (server monitor?). This can also be configured to run commands when the system boots, so if we reboot you can set this up to restart your BYOND game(s) automatically.
- Backup functionality allowing you to save your entire home directory and download it to ensure that your files, databases and settings are never lost again!
- AWstats logging system, which allows you to view a detailed log of who has been visiting your site.

We'll soon be launching a new website with more details about what services you get with us, including some new features we're still working out. But a short listing we currently offer: DMCGI support (www.byond.com), Python, Perl, PHP support. Additionally, we now offer PostgreSQL as well as MySQL.
