[I'm just like FOX news!]

I haven't been very active lately, guess what they say about BYOND is true. I'm not *really* back, usually I'll check up on the forums every month or so.
I've been more interested in:
- Python
- PHP (CakePHP = Win)
and various other projects.

I also got a PSP, not for the PSP games mind you, but for the awesome collection [NES, SNES, GBA, GBC, Genesis, Nintendo 64, PS1]
(CakePHP = Win)

If you suck maybe. <.<
Explain what you mean by the following statement: "guess what they say about BYOND is true."

No one can ever fully leave BYOND.
Oh, I see. This is very true.
CakePHP is actually terrible, but I wouldn't expect anything less coming from you.

I love you. My hate for it spawns from the first time I ever encountered it, a friend of mine in university was continuing a project the previous class had started, using CakePHP. The amount of trouble the both of us went through to try and find the solution to something I could have written outside that framework in seconds was astonishing.
Ok then, which frameworks do YOU guys like?

I don't have one to recommend. It's not like PHP is difficult enough to require such a thing anyway. Use a modular approach and you'll be done in no time, and even quicker the next time.

As far as I'm concerned, once Smarty is in place, the rest is just database manipulation and data passing, trivial things at best. Memcache is also handy, as is Imagick, if you're doing image work.
I personally don't use a framework, other than my own simplified one which, like CakePHP, follows the MVC paradigm, except it isn't completely freaking insane.

More often than not, frameworks are complete overkill. Unless you're working on a large project and likely with a team, you probably shouldn't be using one.
I don't understand why you're so against frameworks. I do agree, they take a while to learn, you probably just didn't have enough experience with (INSERT FRAMEWORK HERE). They can be applied to any projects! I think the reason you don't see frameworks as effective is, once you're done building a website by convential means, and you need to change the way part of your website works, it's a pain to go through and change everything. With a framework, it's fairly easy because it's so modular.
I can pick up any website source I've made (as they're all near identical now), and all I need to do is change the layout, which is pure (X)HTML, and change the database stuff to reflect the kind of information I need to return.

Not exactly a task of major difficulty. The only thing I haven't yet worked out is the administration panel, and that's purely out of lack of motivation to do so. Once I finish tiberath.com, that should be a thing of the past as well.
Hey I've been trying to contact you Via Pager but you didn't respond to my message so I'll ask you on here do you wanna join a game/app development team working with java we have 2 programmers and 1 graphics designer so far.
