My uncle passed away early Saturday morning. He was the closest I had to a father, as I havn't seen mine since I was five years old. He used to take my mother, my sister and I on family vacations every year, and was always around to do all the stuff with me that my father should have been doing. I'm going to miss him.

Sorry to be all depressing and stuff. It's been a really bad year.

Well, I'm back at my Mom's house again. After my mom passed away in august, my uncle moved into the house to help take care of my grandmother. He's been on chemo for almost two years, and he's finally losing. Currently, he is here with Hospice, and probably only has a few days left.

My grandmother just spent the day in the hospital because she tripped and fell, breaking her arm. So I'm here hanging out taking care of my grandma, and watching my uncle die. And unfortunately, I think him dying is going to pretty much take all the will to live from her as well. Nobody should have to watch their children die, and this will be her second in three months...
First off, thanks to all of you for your thoughts and sympathy. It's still hard to fathom, but I'm getting better.

On to less important things... Schnitzelnagler posted a bug report in the forum a couple of days ago, which had rendered ManoAMano unplayable. What bothers me is that the game seems to have been this way for about six weeks, and nobody had posted an ingame bug report or a notification on the forum. Ouch...

It looks to be fixed now, along with a fix for a minor button overlay issue that has been hanging round for a while.

I'm simply trying to grab a hub page using world.Export(), but it doesn't seem to be working.
At this point, all I've got in my project is this:

#include <dantom\cgi\CGI.dme>

CGI
Topic() // This is called every time a page is loaded
var/list/L[] = world.Export("http://www.byond.com/games/Flick/Gotcha/?format=text")

I keep getting this error.

BYOND Error: failed to add http file .txt to C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\BYOND\cache\2.

Obviously, there was more stuff going on in there, but I pared it down to this and still get the error. Any folks knowledgeable about DMCGI care to point out what I'm doing wrong?

My mom's cancer stopped growing. It isn't shrinking either, but considering how aggressively it was growing originally, stopped is a good thing.

She has inoperable pancreatic and liver cancer, which is just about as bad as it gets. She took a couple of chemo treatments, but quit a few weeks ago since they made her feel so bad. And they aren't curative either, just a delaying tactic.

Wish her a miracle for me.

They can't possibly have read these first, can they?

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name

'Intercapping is often used to clarify the meaning of a domain name. However, DNS is case-insensitive, and some names may be misinterpreted when converted to lowercase. For example: Who Represents, a database of artists and agents, chose whorepresents.com; a therapists' network thought therapistfinder.com looked good; and another website operating as of August 2007, cummingfirst.com, website of the Cumming First United Church in Cumming, GA and powergenitalia.com, a website for an Italian Power Generator company. In such situations, the proper wording can be clarified by use of hyphens. For instance, Experts Exchange, the programmers' site, for a long time used expertsexchange.com, but ultimately changed the name to experts-exchange.com.'

Oops! :P
