The Single Player Games guild is open to anyone who's developing a single player game and, due to lack of membership or other reasons, needs help advertising their game to the rest of BYOND. So if you're developing a single player game that can be downloaded and is playable enough for people to test and provide feedback, then post a request in the New Developments forum and let me know.

Single player game developers may be provided with a forum for their game and the ability to moderate it, and free access to post updates or other useful information to the blog as long as you keep your posts clean and professional and don't abuse it.

So if you're not a BYOND member and you're looking for a means of getting feedback on your game and to announce your latest updates to the BYOND community, then come and sign up here. My only request is that you be be civil and try to maintain a sense of professionalism when using this guild.

Just make sure your game passes the Submission Guidelines before submitting a request. That means no anime games!
You must be able to play the game completely and totally by yourself with no unwanted interaction with human players, ever.

What if a game is a classic multiplayer game? Ie, a one-to-four player, drop-in drop-out, co-op RPG (like Secret of Mana). Provided it can be played/completed offline and has the ability to enable a private 'invite only' mode it wouldn't completely conflict with this rule.

I don't have any specific games in mind, however I like the idea and this guild seems like it wants to promote BYOND games that play more like traditional video games and less like playpens where you cram as many players as possible in from the hub then tell them all to pretend they're Goku.
DarkView,

Judging from the games already in the guild, such as: Castle, Bobble, and Solar Conquest, those types of games are allowed.

Hopefully I can finish my single player platformer soon!
If the game is designed for multiple players, then it needs to at least have some computer players that can be used as an alternative. Solar Conquest, Settlers, Echelon, Carpe Slimum, for example, are all multi-player games, but you can play them by yourself against the computer.

Bottom line is that you should be able to play the game offline and still enjoy it.
Foomer, do you think my RTS would qualify? I think you can waste about 15-30 minutes on it, till the repetitiveness of redoing waves gets boring.

You'll have to be more specific, I don't know what your RTS is.

Sorry, it's under a name that isn't RTS (I thought it was for a second there, since it doesn't have a real name yet). It's called Real Time Defense; it's mostly just an engine with some nice graphics (for the most part, some enemies/units still don't have good icons yet) and a decent interface. It can still kill some time, though; I just need to add more waves and stuff.
I added you as a developer Jeff. Let me know if you want to have a forum here.
