I've set many deadlines for myself and have missed them all. While it doesn't look like I'll meet the self-imposed Christmas deadline, I have been working on the game and would like to get something posted soon (though probably not before Christmas).

I've only had short periods of time to work on the game lately. This sounds bad but it actually worked out well because I had lots of little details to add. Here are some of the things I've added lately:
  • Added more sound effects.
  • Revised the HUD to use my HUD Groups library.
  • Added a class selection area.
  • Created a way to award new skills to the player when they complete a dungeon.
  • Added some new enemies, including slime puddles that repeatedly spawn slimes.
  • Added a couple new tilesets (still haven't made the maps to use them).
  • Created background images for each zone and updated the old background images.
  • Added hidden gems the player can collect.
To get it to the point where I can release it, I need to add saving and loading. I also need to add some more content - I'm part-way through adding a dungeon so I need to add a final boss for that dungeon at least. There are more things I'd like to add (medals) and the game could always use more content, but I'm willing to let some of those things slip until future releases.

As proof of my dedication to the project, here's the title screen:

I'll definitely be doing a video run-through of this game.
It looks so good. Keep up the absolutely beautiful work, I cannot wait to see more. (:
Quit teasing me and finish the game! These screen shots and videos are too much to handle D:
Looks beautiful, do you make the art yourself?

It may be just me, but the perspective of the "Tiny Heroes" logo doesn't fit well. I would prefer it to be flat.
FINALLY.
I'm coming to terms with the game not being as complete as I'd like when I post it. I've always planned to continue working on it and add content even after it's posted, but I think it'll be initially less complete than I'd like. I'm hoping this works to my advantage. The more complete it is when I first post it, the less likely people are to try it again after I update it because there won't be much that has changed. The more significant the updates are, the more likely people are to try it again.

More or less. The text was done in photoshop (I forget the name of the font I used) then I added the outline and brick details myself.

I was thinking the same thing. I didn't want it to be exactly like the maps are (blocky and outlined). I'll make another without the perspective and see how that looks.
Here is what the title screen would look like without the 3D effect on the text.

Personally, I like that a bit better. :p
I kinda like it flat.
Put a drop shadow on it and that should do it.
Yeah, that looks better. Also, I believe what ET suggested would work well.
ORGASMO
Looks great, F_a
@Forum_account: Definitely do the drop shadow, that looks awesome.

With drop shadow.

That's perfect.
Add some pbags and that should do it.
Please don't put an empty file menu in this one like you did with Exordium & Terminus.

Heh, I'm pretty sure I don't have one here. For Exordium & Terminus I just never noticed it was there. Now that I have a laptop to run games on I notice the limited vertical space more.
If a title screen means dedication then I guess rips are going to be here for a while @_@

I still don't get this game. What is this suppose to be? WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM YOU?!
