stuck at hills; what now? in Regressia

I don't want to give anything away but...

"the dude" ran away into the hills and I gave chase. I've checked every mountain tile in the forest and by the swamp (bumping and action button), and I've combed the whole area. I can't find anyone or anything of interest. Am I doing something wrong? Any sort of vague hint would be appreciated; thanks.

I checked that part of the code again to see if there is anything which would prevent the cave from showing, and I didn't see anything. If that cave does not appear for you (after you've defeated Wilhelm) please let me know.

I rebooted since last night, and it's working now.
I wasn't expecting a cave to appear out of nowhere, so I probably just didn't notice it.
I checked the whole area to the east and south instead.

Alright, thanks for the feedback. I'll take another look into the mapping in that area and see if there's anything I can do to make it more apparent that there is now a cave in that location. Perhaps a change to the cave icon so that it stands out more is in order.
