Apparently it can do 3D now...

- Useless post - :D
You were making 3d models on it? O.o. I had researched and just concluded it was for 3d modeling "edits".
You could always make textures in photoshop. Dunno what else the new one does.

*goes back to angrily modeling a cannon"
Sounds interesting. I'll eventually buy CS4 because I need it for school :\
I didnt know that, i thought it was more for the work of Architecture.
I am not sure if you can make a 3D models (and it is deciding not to open right now and I don't feel like rebooting) but you can make objects 3D from a layer (I tried pyramid and one side was coloured from a specific layer - and I can change the other layer colour).

Still, definitely will help out with skinning a 3D model I guess >_>
Do any of you by any chance know (or can test) if you can open animations (gifs) in cs4?

You could in cs2 because of Imageready (where you could go to "save optimized".
You can't in cs3. If you go to file > save for web and devices you can save your gif, but once you open it back up in cs3 it wont be in animation mode, (you'll get one flat image).

I'm trying to find out if this'll happen in cs4.

Unfortunately when I opened an animated GIF, it mentioned to me (with an alert) that it is an animated GIF and that it can only open the first frame - and saving would subsequently get rid of the other frames :(
