Wait...you mean we actually got a new Die Hard?
OK, to be honest, I was not expecting to like Live Free or Die Hard. I'm a huge fan of the old ones, and the previews made it seem very unlike Die Hard. It seemed like another mindless generic action flick.
Instead, as it turns out, the movie is not only very close to the original formula, it's also one of the best in the series, just behind Die Hard with a Vengeance.
It comes with all you expect from a Die Hard movie, just with a little less blood and cursing than the previous versions.
If I had to make one gripe, it would be that a couple of the scenes are a bit over the top, but nothing horrible. The action scene with the jet is the worst offender, although not as bad as it certainly could've been.

Yeah, that worried me too.
Until I saw the movie, and he wasn't annoying.
Hell, he was actually good.

Die Hard 4.0 is insta-failed for having the mac guy in.
When I go to the cinema I'm just going to constantly make snidey remarks about the whereabouts of his mac. I half expect him to be named as "Hi, I'm Mac" when the credits start to roll.
