Hello, im making a Capture the flag game. There are up to 4 teams(depending on how many the host wants). It is going to be a shooting game where a kill gets your team 1 point and a flag capture gets 2 points. So my question is: Do you think that I should give players health, or make the guns one hit kills? I want people to die easy, but i dont know if the community would be upset about one hit killing. any opinions? Also, do you think flag captures should be worth more than 2 points?

I would think 3 or 4 shots, so you don't automatically die because of lag. And, bump up the points for capturing the flag, it should be the key to winning. If you leave it at two points, It'll become a Deathmatch, which destroys any chance of tactics.

I'm with Giantpanda, though I would have health be higher, maybe 20 or 100, and give different weapons different amounts of damage. And yeah, flags should be worth a bundle too. I'd try with at least 5 points, maybe 10. People should want to capture flags, not frag, though you'll always have griefers.

That's a really, really, REALLY broad definition of "griefing" if it includes "killing people on the opposing team."
