I was trying to figure out how ppl can edit save files so that i could try to make so they couldnt edit a file from my game but as far as i can see you can't. So I was trying to see how you can view it in a notepad file or any type of file like that and i hit always open with notepad so all my sav files are now and i guess will always be notepad files unless someone knows how to fix that. Anyway all i could see were those weird characters in your comp's character map file and i think it might be my comp that can't read all of them or somethin cus you see a lot of this symbol well somethin like this one . Please Help
Go to Morte Warrior's post, it shows how to edit savefiles in it.

Also, I think that is permanent... I did that with my old computer trying to edit Warcraft II character files and screwed it up because I didn't uncheck that. I never did fix it, because I never could find a way to fix it, and I tried everything, but I don't use that computer anymore.

If you're using Windows 98 I think it's possible to fix.
In a My Computer type window go to Folder Options (it's in one of the bars at the top), and choose File Types. Once the list of file types loads, find the one for byond savefiles and delete it/edit it, or something.

That must be why I couldn't before -- I was using 95.

In any case, even if Microsoft forgot to add that panel in Win95(I'm pretty sure they did, though), you can always go into the registry and remove it from there.
