Windows Live Messenger
When I tried to download it, it wouldn't let me, so I used my laptop to download it, then used a disk to put the installation on my PC (Which I am using now), when I try to install it says I need to be connected to the internet. I obviously am, as I am able to make this post.
Any ideas on what I should do (Without getting something crappy like trillian to replace windows live)?
Here's a screen shot for when I try to install msn:

Howey, if you still have problems here is a solution..
Step-by-Step
1. Install WLM on your laptop
2.Be sure when installing you know where you put it..
3.Go to your start menu on your laptop
4.Click 'my computer'
5. Go to local disk then to program files.
6.Search for 'Windows live messenger' or 'messenger'
7.Copy and paste the files on a usb or cd
8.Repeat steps 3-5 but on your other comp and put the files there
hopefully this works, if u got vista then i cant help with locating files.

Either you have parental blocks on, or your firewall is messing with something. Hell, you could even have a virus.

Do you have Windows Live Family Safety installed? as it could be blocking the download. You need to turn off the filter and click "ignore any open programs" during the install of Windows Live Essentials

Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at g.live.com.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Use something other than WLM then. There are third-party clients that can connect you to MSN.
