Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Get Something Done challenge, including the perennial JP, who has produced something for every challenge I've ever held. Despite initial interest in the challenge, I've received disappointingly few entries. This could be the first challenge I've held that ends up a complete wash :/

Anyway, I'll be back on June 14th with the results.
Hopefully you've got my entry. I sent it a few days back to your gmail, not taking advantage of the time extension you offered.

I did get it, though I must say I'm leery of anything labeled as a "framework".

Indeed, I was leery of calling it a done game as well, which is why I gave it that label.

Granted, that's sort of my personality at work. There's been a great many assignments I've given instructors throughout the years which I felt were just not complete enough... and managed to score an A+.

What game is really and truly done? I would say any game has room for expansion, and more often what constitutes 'feature complete' is a matter of perspective.
I think it was the timing of the event that really screwed me over. By the end of the period I had finals to worry about and that pretty much dominated most of my time.
Woohoo, looking forward to all the neat new games people came up with. :D
Heh, this should be interesting.

I DEMAND A RECOUNT-

-er, the results aren't up yet? Right, then, carry on.

A pernicious lie! I failed to produce anything for the first Get Something Done, other than a discussion about what I was considering getting done before real life intervened.

(And my entry for this one was pretty terrible. It's a solid base, but it doesn't exactly /do/ much.)
Complete wash or not, and I'm sure it won't be. You have given my project hope and a new lease on life that it never had before May of 2010. Despite all of the intervention of real life Kurt's Quest does look like a real possibility now even if I never stood a chance of getting to the finishing line.
Next contest Iain throws, I'm popping in.
ITS JUNE 15 WHERE IS THE RESULTS!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Contest must have not been that important. XD
No doubt he's dwelling on how to artfully break to fellows such as myself that we may have missed the point of this whole "getting something done" focus. ;)
Sigh I was one of those that had to drop out :(

I feel horrible about it, Iain must be contemplating life around the edge of a cliff right now. Next time for sure! There is still hope for us BYOND'ers yet!
So it's June the 23rd... :P

Yeah I had to drop out of the competition because of college finals.
July 2nd
July 4th.
Now, now. Considering how many of us pulled out from the event or couldn't bring ourselves to truly "get it done," it is really fair to begrudge the fellow for not feeling into the spirit of judging it? The man is busy.
