I have found a workaround to the corner spam that can help save tons of time finding ideas to do so, Bravo!
Ok, so my first workaround:
Code Substitution so if someone is hit while substituting, they teleport behind the other player!
Second Workaround:
Make the player that's attacking go backwards a little bit more than normal when they are attacking near a corner.
Third Workaround:
Make substitution customization where they can choose whether they want substitution vertical or horizontal in the direction they are facing.
